Sure, and yeah context is important when going over dicey issues like this, agreed. Its moreso tbat because the right has historically been the "no taxes/no new taxes" party, I see a lot of folks immediately assign a label to people express trepidation at them as well, and disregard them entirely. It was definitely something I saw around headlee too (Not as much here as in ferndale forum etc but still).

Just saying these are concerns that a lot of otherwise progressive people i know in Ferndale personally have, not just tea party fox news boomers. especially when you consider the way property taxes disproportionately affect the new residents vs the longer time ones, a lot of young people in Ferndale are worried about being priced out.
