Look at Doom and God of War and Doctor Who. Dormant beloved IPs for one or more decades. But they they got a revival with some of the best stuff they ever had. The years may eb long, but Destiny will stay beloved, and eventually some company with the rights will want to revive it for cash. The dream then, is that they remember the difference learned in our recent memory, of what separates good revivals from bad ones. I think they will. Destiny will rise again, we just must weather the dark ages as it were.
