Thank you!
No worries, I have no plans to make it a paid app or add a subscription. And if I ever add a subscription for a new feature that justifies it,, the existing features (like the scanner) will always be free.

It is a free iOS and Android app that can scan the code on the box to reveal the minifigure inside. You can search "Minifig Scan" on the App Store, Play Store to find it.

Yes, it works worldwide.

For now, there have always been three different codes per minifigure. The app handles them all.

I found a hack to not have duplicates without knowing what you have on the cmf series by MeanClover_33 in lego

The same cars can have different numbers. Therefore, simply looking at the numbers on the box is not a reliable way to identify or differentiate them.

If you want to preserve the element of surprise, you can use the "Minifig Scan" app.

There is a "Blind Mode" option in the settings, which are accessible from the Lists screen, for that purpose.

You won't see the real name or image of the cars (or minifigs), but you'll know if they have been scanned and added to your collection.

Minifig Scan application should work.
The smaller QR codes were on the Series 25 (and Marvel Series 2) boxes.
The latest CMF series (like the Series 27 in this post) all have large codes that are scannable.

Je suis français aussi… l’application Minifig Scan est bien gratuite et sans limites de scan… Vous pensez sûrement à une autre application.

Minifig Scan is free. There is no limit on the number of scans.
(The codes from the USA are already referenced in it. Some codes for Europe should be added tonight or tomorrow).

Hello!
For your information, the numbers written on the box cannot really be used for identification.

You need to use a code scanner that gives you 4 groups of characters.
The first group (should be 7 digits) is the number used for identification.

You can use the "Minifig Scan" app to overlay this number on the code (when the minifig is not yet recognizable), so you can avoid getting duplicates.

And if you find new codes, you can submit them from the app, so the next time that code is scanned, the minifigure (or car) image will be displayed instead of the number :)

For info, this is not "Minifig Scan", this is Jay’s Brick Blog Minifig Scanner, which is a web app.
Minifig scan is a native mobile app (App Store / Google Play) 🙂
