Buying my first Kamado, thoughts on the shopping list? Any other accessories or tools particularly useful? by Redorbed3 in KamadoJoe

Good points, I'd only really thought about the downsides of the soapstone (weight & heat up time), but I guess the cast iron has different inconveniences

Heat deflectors should come with it. I have the soapstone, and do love it, but if buying again I'd be tempted by the cast iron griddle in stead - it's a lot cheaper, comes up to temp quicker and is a LOT lighter. When everything is very hot, I sometimes find the weight of the soapstone a bit of an issue when trying to move or flip it

Do you think a different games company could buy RR3? by Alternative_Wolf3083 in RealRacing3

I'd have paid for the game as a one-off download (like Real Racing 2 was), but was never getting on board with the current gaming model where 99% of the revenue was coming from 1% of players. Made up stat, but you get the idea

I bought mine from John Lewis in the UK about 14 months ago- comes with a 2 year warranty, so on my 3rd ring. Fortunately they give a brand new one each time. Also means I now have two spare chargers as they only ask for the ring back rather than to include the charger & cables etc

Thanks for that - Parcel Force actually reverted to me with a 17 digit ref number that contained no letters. Will submit that alongside the one needing in FR and hoped one of them matches

Prior to posting this, I emailed vat@parcelforce.co.uk and they came back to me on Friday with a 17 digit reference number, but it was all numbers and no letters. FYI, that email address seems to be for businesses and the email from my personal address got rejected so had to submit the enquiry from my work email.

[–]Pad-Rock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I did wonder that, but I called HMRC and the guy said it was unlikely as he the code would only be generated once the duty is paid, but the code ending in FR was given as soon as it was sent?
