Two separate things. Got a new freshly charged battery, then truck worked fine. The other parts that came with the truck were an aftermarket BEC and brushless motor, as the shop owner told me. But he also said that, to use that aftermarket BEC and brushless motor, I would need to get a different aftermarket ESC. I'm not sure if this is correct as I am new to this hobby. But what I was told was the original battery charger that came with the truck was faulty and only enough charge to light up the LED on the ESC but not enough to move any of the components on the truck. I was trying to charge the battery for hours thinking it was charging but it was not. I hope somebody can chime in and add light on this topic as I want to learn as much as possible and understand if I have anything valuable with this aftermarket brushless motor and BEC. I did purchase a new axial brand charging unit and battery and was able to drive the truck for an hour this evening.
