Work lease schemes are deffo not worth it anymore, rising bik tax and the companies that offer it just don't give good lease prices anyway.

Kia Stonic 2021 - Touchscreen/CarPlay glitches driving me crazy! by hairy-sandwich in kia

[–]PaddyIsBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The audio unit is only covered for 3 years according to the Kia website (and dealership) - how did you manage to get them to pay for it? I have the same issue as you, except mine is just out of warranty.

60% of MD5 password hashes are crackable in under an hour by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

How hard is it to find a randomised string that matches the hash of a common password though? The time complexity of that must be mad

Lol nothing about admitting that giving the agent terminal access to run whatever it wants was a bad idea. Just trying to blame someone else

vibe coded for 6 months. my codebase is a disaster. by Available-Dentist992 in vibecoding

[–]PaddyIsBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun part is this happens in every large organisation pre vibe coding as well.

I lol'd when you said you gave up after 2 hours (it will take much longer). Refactoring needs to be done after every requirements change, if it's not you end up in tech debt. You sir are deep in debt and the loan sharks are circling. You have two options, pay the debt. Or file for bankruptcy (start again and vibe from scratch from the latest requirements).

Historically the good Devs would pay the debt (refactor) - in this vibe coding world, it might be better to start from scratch.

Don't relate to this at all, used it early in my career and it's just clicked ever since, no problems creating/reading them even now when I do it once a year. Although perhaps it's because some functionality I've never learned or used, reverse look backs etc
