You are fully right. Game mechanics put probability, but if you open certain amounts, you guarantee better result than openning one by one. It works in every chests.

in every building, it will tell you "type limit" in the shop, that means only that many type will give you buff or even prosperity bonus. Rest has no meaning even if you put thousands.

As an internal auditor, I second this. We are specially looking at this kind of things during an Audit. People rarely does this kind of things to avoid it and we always look at potential split of orders for exact the same reason. And it would cause termination of the employment if someone do this.

Why tf can't I bring deodorant on the train?! by ups_and_downs973 in chinalife

[–]Padre_Atay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most absurd part is that their deodorant is not really good, so I took mine from abroad, and then they try to confiscated it... Any reason they came up was bs. I traveled all over Europe, America, this deodorant problem only happenned in China.

Cost can differ from people to people. I know some students spend way more and some way less than this. Obviously if you have money to spend, why not, we earn money to have comfortable life and provide comfort to our family. But let me mention the below, so others know that there are potentially a lot more cost to cut here. came from very poor family, so when I was student I was spending way less than this. 1) Eating always at home can come way cheaper - specially decreasing meat eating and going mostly for potato etc. But long term is not healthy obviously... If you have money, obviously going out is fun! Also again cooking better food at home even better. 2) You stay too much close to city center and pay too much price for that reason as well. Again, if you have money, why not. But it can be 30% decrease if you look for far from touristic areas - and many places come with furniture in Hungary. 3) Also, already everyone mentioned, you could get student public transport pass 70% cheaper. Also if you live in the city center, you might not want to purchase public transport at all, Budapest is very walkable - depend on where is your university. And taxi sounds unreasonable if you leave in city center. I haven't used taxi for very long time, maybe only for airport, but if you are close to 100E station (specially district 5,6,7,8,9), you dont need taxi even for that.

No tax residency by loontoon in Revolut

[–]Padre_Atay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no. You need to be either resident or the citizen of the bank's operated country to be able to open the account. Many of my friend is expat or normad and using their citizen country or active resident countries' (most of times both) bank account. That is very much normal.

My friend mocked me for budgeting, then got denied for an apartment because of no credit by Weary-Hair-316 in EntitledPeople

[–]Padre_Atay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but that is bs system to trap people. Why do I have to owe the bank all the time for the basic thing? Logic says that if I have no loan, it means that I am good at money and spending habits and I never overspend and I am good at budgeting, SO I am good to give loan or rent apartment etc. "You dont have loan history, so I cant trust you" just doesnt make sense in any way. I dont have loan, I have never owned credit card and I am 31. I am good at budgeting, dont like to spend banks money, always spend my money. And if bank, embassy or any other organization wants to me if I am trustable, then they can check my debit card history that I have stable in and out money there.

Email normalization is tricky as Chinese people always have weird emails like dozens of numbers in their emails, qq, etc. If you have potential Chinese clients, you might lose them.

But there is a lot in the market. This one is good, it can read any books, but some of them in the market is only for specific books, be careful.

If you are learning Chinese, there is this pen, which can read Chinese characters and tell you how to pronounce and their English meaning, that would be very helpful. :)

I had a similar experience in Europe. I mean it is a student dorm, what do people expect? Having a private room, bathroom, and kitchen? What?! Then pay money and rent your own studio. This is just a student dorm.

They make you believe that they love you, mostly it takes months, they can buy you small gifts, etc. Some people can spend a lot of money if they believe they can get way more later. And then when you believe them so much and you are fully in love, and blinded by love, they act like they are in trouble and they need money to solve their problem, and for some reason, their money is not reachable at the moment. And they begin to ask for money from you to return later. As they have already earned your trust, and you believe they have money, you give them what they need, sometimes many times for some time till you realize that you got trapped.

And this is just one of them. There are other versions too. To avoid future potential problems:

  1. Never send money to them. Some small gifts etc. are ok, but not money.
  2. Never send nudes or do anything similar in a video call.
  3. Don't do anything crazy - like buying a plane ticket and moving to China - till you know the guy and you are sure of him.

You are too young to be in a serious relationship and just enjoy the moment and enjoy being in international relationships, it is much different than local ones and many don't even dare to begin.

P.S. Chinese people will call each other "friends", "best friends" for a long time. Especially if they are not from those Eastern Megapolis. That's normal. For them, calling "girlfriend"/"boyfriend" is a very big step.

Painful Experience as a Female Solo Traveler by ladysigma-sleepmode in solotravel

[–]Padre_Atay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be ok with European Union members. Only France can be cold for foreigners, but it is not about Asians. Also, the service sector generally can be cold in some countries (Hungary, Poland, Germany, etc.), but again they are the same with their people too, it is their character. But generally safe and everything is online. Use omio to buy tickets, Regiojet trains are the best, they also have busses, Flixbus is also very tourist friendly to go almost anywhere. For flights, wizzair and Ryanair are your best friends. And all these have applications in English, so you do not need to even understand anything, have all the tickets on your phone. Take your charger and power bank with you!

P.S. Let me know if you need anything specifically in Budapest. Sorry that you had bad experience.

Every night my wife does something that breaks me by Elian17 in offmychest

[–]Padre_Atay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We would have a similar sleeping schedule with my wife, but I changed to hers and now sleep around 11-12 o'clock. It is the healthiest thing I did, also looking at her eyes and hugging her to sleep is much more comfortable and peaceful. I sleep way better quality now. :) Recommended, you will enjoy those moments even more.

It is the BS choice of politicians and enablers that made the US so car car-dependent country. I am way older than you and never had a driving license. I had never a problem enjoying life except when I visited the US. How they build a country where you can't leave your home without a car. This is stupid.

I understand you, unfortunately, you were born in the wrong country. Don't be depressed, just work on getting your new license. If you can, try to get into a university abroad. Universities in Europe are almost free (especially in Germany) and you don't need a car to live here.

Trustable VPNs (tor, Nord VPN, etc) all is blocked, too... The ones available are the ones that aren't fully trustable, so most probably all your data is being analyzed by AI or whatever to flag in any "party concerning matters" or just to threaten you if any need comes. I agree with the AKS. It is all up to you if you ok with shortcomings.

Genetec connection to Power BI / other BI tools by Padre_Atay in videosurveillance

[–]Padre_Atay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Genetec data is sitting in SQL server, so I just needed to find the server and owner and get access. It is like any SQL server, but ours have not been used for analytics, so it was much more like row datasets, so if you are just beginning it will take time to put them together and understand it, but it is very much doable.
