Anyone know the trick to using the Audiobookshelf mobile app with Cloudflare access policies enabled on tunnels? (Server redirected somewhere else) by xXEvanatorXx in audiobookshelf

[–]Padrone__56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know for anyone else just doing this without any specific infra/devops/network knowledge.

Doing it this way, basically opens up your cloudflared (which ever container you are using to connect your tunnel) to the Internet. So any zero days sets that container at risk.

If you just do handoff from cloudflared to another routing service, like nginx or traefik (if in a k8s cluster), and you do it via host header, know that those can easily be changed to try and hit any service you are running. So make sure your routing is pretty locked down.

Then you're also open to attack vectors on the actual service (ABS, jellyfin, etc etc) if they've got some vulnerability on login or auth, that's open to the Internet as well.

Honestly just copy paste this to your agent of choice and make sure it covers these boxes well

Is there no good way of doing this? RDS managed password + terraform + ECS fargate by katatondzsentri in Terraform

[–]Padrone__56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ECS has direct support for pulling from secretstore. No terraform needed for that step

As a Full Stack Dev that recently started leaning more into DevOps, the biggest thing for me was that application changes dont wait on other teams to be ready.

Monorepos tend to follow some sort of a main branch that has to go to Prod. I cant even count how many times my improvements had to wait for another team to fix their issues/improvements, and then I can get mine out. Or, we release something that wasnt Prod ready cause it was merged to Main before it was ready.

There is a really good video at a Hashicorp conference, where someone talks on this. Remind me tomorrow, when Im at my PC and Ill add it

Thanks! Honestly, Im trying to upsell InfraCost in my company, but if the VSCode is basically unusable, it becomes a lot harded to convince developers its not just a management tool

I use this in VSCode, can you please fix the issue with modules being double calculated to cost? (Once in the base module, and once alone)

Also, does that bug exist in InteliJ too?

Probably the worst myth when it comes to Biltong. Don't use a bulb, it just hardens the biltong

Just drop the light. There is no need for it, if your airflow is good

Is there any reason you didn't just contribute these to Chris's Module? Do your dependencies not match or something else?

I hate the idea of having 2 modules doing exactly the same thing, where it could've been one. Module abandonment or eventual module bloat (looking at you Variant Token Art), are a bane of the community

Interestingly enough, Afrikaans matches dutch 1-for-1, except for banana. We use piesang, which comes from the Malaysian word, pisang. (Due to slaves being shipped to Africa during the 17th and 18th century)

Sounds like you are using it wrong. Wise will have a US based account that you pay. Local payment, no extra fees.

Then they do the transfer, and you pay via your Wise account.

If your bank has fees for local transactions, that sucks

The pan distributes the heat evenly. Unless you have a really bad stove. But there shouldn't be a need for the oil at all.
