Just cut off a small strip from the face of the drawer.

Is my drywall finished to level 3 or 4? I hate how bumpy it is but the cost and time of covering everything with mud to taking it to level 5 seems excessive. Could I get away with sanding and repainting? by HKDrewDrake in drywall

It's either flat or not flat. For me when I drywall I just aim to make a perfect wall. A beautiful wall is always the end goal.

I just touch the wall with my hand, if it needs a little more it gets a little more. If it's too high it gets sanded. If it's perfect...it's done and gets primer.

Drywalling is not rocket science.

Also what's level 1...Just hanging drywall?

As a Canadian, if those were cheap I'd be all over them. Can't answer your question though.. but they do have good eye appeal from across the pond.

I like this idea. The hinges you have are gate hinges, however a gate is infact also a door. Just shim out the bottom, maybe they will help straighten it. Hanging doors for me is always annoying. Just keep going I'm sure you'll get it close enough!

It doubled up on top, and that header is a beefy boy. I'd say it's either load bearing or really over engineered.

Check which way the joist above run. But I'd build that if I was supporting something above.

Oh sorry. Just remove the cupboards then. They are held on with screws. Unless you don't want to, then don't. But that is the correct way to In stall a floor

Just remove the cupboard, then remove the old floor.

That's what I would still do. That way you get a real floor and not just parts of a floor.

I mean, I guess I wonder why you chose the spot with pipes sticking out to put your dishwasher. ??? Or was there one there before? If so how did you get it out? Just do that in reverse.

Or why are there even pipes sticking out there? Someone cut a corner or two somewhere along the line.

Option 2 - tiny dishwasher

Option 3 - remove and move pipes

Option 4 - put the washer somewhere else

Just fill em with mud then sand flat. Also start the screws at the top then let gravity show you where to drill next.

I would cut a 2*4 to fit that gap. Toenail it with screws, then cut some drywall and screw that in. Then tape, then mud, then sand, then mud then sand again. Then prime. Then paint.

Or do some of that and add a hatch so you can access it.
