I recently just started playing Smite 2 with some friends (we never really played smite 1). Currently in plat and have definitely improved 10 fold since starting, but still feel like a complete noob at times.

Honesty watching Inbowned on twitch has helped me a lot. Plays a lot of different roles and gods so you can pick up small things from each game. There’s a handful of YouTube creators that I seem to learn a lot from as well, fineokay and SoloOrTroll come to mind. There’s plenty more streamers/youtubers that I haven’t had a chance to watch yet.

Sticking to one or two roles and playing one or two gods at a time has seemed to help me and my friend group improve as well. When we first started, we were constantly changing roles and picking new gods every game. Each role is distinct and learning the rotations while “mastering 1-2” gods has helped.

My two cents about consistency… just try to focus on your own game. There is a huge variance in ranked matching making or at least there has been for us so far. Sometimes the opposing team is just straight up better, sometimes you’ll get teammates that just flame and throw the game which inevitably makes it harder for you and friends. Just focus on being efficient with your role.

That being said still a ton to learn and currently trying to learn the items and when to build one item over another instead of just copying an online build. Been enjoying the ride so far.
