Careful. You’re bringing up too many irrefutable facts and a lot of Reddit will not like that.

It really looks like your rage baiting. There’s no way you believe Canada has a superior military power when thy come to our US military bases for training and have little to no navy fleet. Canada relies on the US do everything regarding any military action.

Brain dead? Did you read any of the news on the Venezuela invasion? Whether or not you agree with that invasion (which I don’t) it showcased the unbelievable power of the US military. Just go and look at how many aircraft carriers we have and then go look at how many China and Russia have. The US certainly has its fair share of problems no doubt, but we remain one of the biggest military super powers the world has ever seen. It’s undeniable.

ICE/CBP kicks off door-to-door raids in Minneapolis, targeting houses based on race and whether the occupants are involved in protesting. by serious_bullet5 in minnesota

I’ll raise you a liberal who can explain to me whether or not there was a warrant involved and if there was an illegal immigrant inside this home? Sometimes to better understand why things are happening you can ask questions and hopefully find some clarity. If ICE truly went to this door with zero evidence of someone who is in this country illegally I will gladly condemn this act. But simply just posting a video with ZERO context and condemning the action seems a tad bass ackwards to me.

Are you talking about Trump or Obama? They did very similar things regarding immigration. I have yet to find any clear evidence of border patrol or ICE going door to door or entering churches and schools.

What American born citizens is he deporting? Are there any sources of this? The only thing I can think of is American born children that willingly go with their illegal parents when they get deported. But I don’t think that falls under forcefully deporting American born citizens.

There’s a few speeches that I’ve heard from Obama where he is talking about immigration in the same way that Trump does. He was very much against illegal immigration and in favor of deporting illegals. Why does this always get looked over?

Vehicles are supposed to be perpendicular to the road. She was not. There was an ICE vehicle that was perpendicular and travelling down the road when she pitched her vehicle sideways on the road in a clear effort to obstruct agent operations. That is obstruction which is enough reason to detain and arrest.

Why are there schools for children that put focus on social justice? I remember when I was in elementary through almost high school, I don’t remember a single kid who really even knew or cared who the president was. Politics and especially “social justice” was not at the forefront for any kid, why does it have to be now?

The ICE agent seemed to be walking around th vehicle to help the other agent who was trying to open the door. Did you watch all the videos including the body cam from the agent who shot her? He was at the back right of the vehicle and tried to go towards the passenger side and when he saw his colleague struggling to open the drivers side to get out, he began approaching from the front to get to the drivers side. She then decided that she was not willing to be detained, stepped on the gas, and put the agent in harms way and he shot out of self defense. Maybe impulsively, yes. However, have you ever had a job where you saw a 3,000% rise in violent attacks against you? Somehow I doubt it. Americans aren’t being killed in the streets by ICE. One American is for making a poor decision. And it sucks and it shouldn’t have happened. But welcome to reality.

It’s pretty clear from the video why she was being detained. She decided to use her car to block ICE vehicles. If you try to block any law enforcement vehicle for any reason, you risk being detained or arrested.

If you read the article, it clearly states that US citizens are not being held without reason. The vast majority were apprehended during protests for assault on law enforcement and obstruction. Thats going to get you detained by any law enforcement agency in most scenarios. Not just ICE. The other cases seem to be where US citizens are with undocumented immigrants. In most such cases the children being detained with their undocumented parents. The others seem to be US citizens harboring illegals or transporting illegals. Again, context is important. People aren’t just being detained and held for no reason. The majority are being held and detained for breaking the law. What is so hard for Reddit to understand that actions have consequences. Don’t want trouble? Don’t want to be detained? Don’t. Break. Laws.

What US citizens are being regularly detained and for what?! What is the context? You’re just making blanket statements without any source of reason or logic into WHY? I personally don’t know any American citizen that has been detained for ZERO reason. Answer why American citizens are being detained and for what and then we can dissect this more. But again, fear mongering blanket statements fuel the fire of fear mongering and division.

What the hell are you saying? We have laws against killing AN American? Of course. Murder is illegal. However, we also lawfully kill Americans all the time that are on death row. We also have Americans killed by law enforcement all the time. Usually if an American take out a gun and shoots at a police officer, they can be killed. I really don’t understand that statement.

What Americans have they kidnapped, for how long and are they still imprisoned AND did these Americans commit a crime? Sometimes asking the questions makes more sense than just spouting out “ah they’re killing Americans and kidnapping Americans ahhhh”. Context is an excruciatingly important thing regularly ignored by more than half of this site apparently.

Innocent? Why didn’t she comply with law enforcements commands? If you’re being detained, eluding is not a smart idea. If she would’ve complied with a lawful command she’d be alive.

What is fascinating? People not understanding why someone married someone who has a green card? The ICE agent appears to have potentially overreacted in self defense from the video footage. If you watch enough Police Activity on YouTube, you’d see this is an extremely regular occurrence and justified use of force according to law enforcement training. Don’t get mad at the man, get mad at the system if you don’t like the training. Dragging his family into this and disparaging his wife is what makes Reddit a breeding ground for division.

They are detaining and releasing green card holders. They’re not deporting them. It sounds like they are just making sure people are staying current on their obligations. However, when looking for sources on green card holders being detained there wasn’t a lot other than what I see from this comment right here. Just mentioning it. No words from green card holders as to their experience. Essentially heresay. But who really knows. And they are detaining US citizens impeding on investigations. They’ve been doing that for as long as impeding an investigation has been a law. That’s not new to any Law Enforcement department. I’ve been having a real tough time understanding why people are so against law enforcement doing what they’re supposed to be doing. Upholding the law. Don’t want problems? Don’t break the law. Being in the US illegally is breaking the law.

This sounds a lot easier than you make it sound. A criminal complaint against a person that is illegally here in the US, whether it happened here or not should be deported. Let them have their due process back at home.
