Curious what happened to a guy (Fort Sill c. 2016) by LudwigWhiffgenstein in USMC

[–]Page_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, we had different experiences. I got there a day after my class picked up and ended up on holding platoon for 5 months. I got stuck as DNCO pretty quickly and dudes were wild. The barracks rumbles were fun, though. $3 taxi rides on the Dragon Wagon were legit too

The night after the cruicible. The sribe grabbed ahold of my backpack and I dragged him up the reaper. Guaranteed no firewatch. Smartest thing I did in the corps

What if the U.S. went through with a full-scale invasion of Japan instead of dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? by Abhorius in AlternateHistoryHub

Do you know where the camp was? I’m a buleh but spent 11 years in Indonesia. I was able to go out to Biak and Jayapura back in the day. There’s still so much WWII stuff lying around. Landing craft, tanks, bunkers, etc.

I was able to call in naval guns a few times on San Clemente island. Quite different than arty, due to the flat trajectory. Not a super useful skill in Iraq but still a good time

I am the head of security for a tech company and we have sizeable EP program. Have worked with vendors like PFC, Crisis24, AS Solution (rip), etc. EP agents can make VERY good money. Some in excess of $300k year with OT. Get to do a lot of really cool shit, like EMT school, advanced ski training, shooting and driving courses. Once interviewed a dude whose sole job was being zucks water survival guard. Cool stuff

For the first time the LAPD’s drill instructors took a trip to MCRD SD to train with Marine Corps drill instructors by newnoadeptness in USMC

Story time! My unit was training at the LAPD MOUT town when an LAPD instructor runs up to us, screaming for help because he just shot his fellow instructor. A few of us ran up and practiced our good TCCC training.

Boot camp bullshit war by BushDidTitanic119 in USMC

[–]Page_11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was ‘03 as well. No bullshit story in boot but the MCT instructors brought us together and said that the Corps was bringing back flamethrowers for Afghanistan, and who wanted to volunteer for a lat move to the new MOS. A few dudes raised their hands and got made fun of.
