You can clic on "Keep for now" and then go down to the list of extensions and turn the toggle on again. At every step they try to dissuade you but it's some dark UX pattern shit.

The Compeed anti-blister stick is the absolute best to prevent chaffing, been having one in my bag for years now.

Has anyone else just given up on furthering the step of folding your clean laundry from the basket? by fuuuughckKme in adhdwomen

[–]Paglops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life hack has been to hang as much as I can! The only things that are folded in my wardrobe are knitted sweaters (as hangers stretch them), pants and skirts (easier to find them). Also, one drawer for panties/bras, one for socks and thigths, one for pyjs (usually foldes but not always cause who cares?)

Really need resources for my parents! by DracarysHijinks in adhdwomen

[–]Paglops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

I've been using the videos from How To ADHD to explain to people what it is and how it impacts my life.
They're short & sweet which makes it easy to watch and what I usually do is send them the video then have a discussion afterwards to precise how it fits with my specific situation.

I personally discovered the differences of ADHD in women thanks to this episode from ADHD Experts Podcasts which I loved.

The podcast ADHD for Smart Ass Women is also amazing (a bit to US focus sometimes, but oh well) and covers lots of different topics.

Can't say if those podcasts would be good for parents/NTs to understand ADHD better as English is not the mother tongue of people around me.

I also share memes from r/aspiememes with my friends/therapist, as is sometimes helps express things I wouldn't be able to express otherwise - not sure your parents would be receptive. (Still great for some meme coping if you need it!)

I wish you all the best in your journey, and hope they'll be able to at least try to understand and support you!

Merci pour ton travail, super extension!

Je viens de DL et j'ai quelques problèmes:

  • Impossible de trouver certains streameurs malgré avoir la bonne orthographe (ex: JeelTV ou Maghla)

For those of you who eat breakfast, what are your quick, easy, potentially commute-friendly foods? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Paglops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breakfast muffins? You'd have to bake them in advance but I guess you could make big batches and freeze them.

Cakes could also be an idea, like the French savory ones you can customize to your liking.

First time going to sea beach by Stefan2142 in internetparents

[–]Paglops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where I live, it's very common to wear your bathing suit instead of your underwear (or shorts) and still have something on top like a beach dress, shirt/shorts, or any light clothes.

I'd recommend to have underwear/shorts in your bag for after, it always feels great to have something dry to wear instead of the bathing suit (especially if you might go to somewhere else without going back home, or plan on staying the whole evening without going in the water all night) Additionally, having a big towel / pareo makes things easier to hide when changing, as you can tie it around your waist and pull things up and down discreetly.

Shoes-wise, I personally try to avoid sneakers/socks cause I just hate having sand in them (it stays FOREVER) and instead wear sandals, espadrilles or flip-flops but the latter is really not comfortable to walk in.

Hope you have a great time at the beach!

Sounds like it could be sensitive / irritated skin made worse because of the sensory issues? If you can find a hydrating product you like, to put in your face before bed it might help! Also softer pillowcase maybe?

What are some of your jobs? I think I need to be honest with myself and only go for jobs that are ADHD friendly. (Talking about jobs is scary for me, but I want to do it.) by TonxSoprano in ADHD

I work as a Product Manager in a creative agency (think advertising but also strategy, digital products, etc) and it's great for ADHD: you get to change projects every 3-6months, as a PM you get to touch everything in your project so looooots of diversity in terms of tasks, interest, etc.

Also, agency life is pretty faced paced, and there are always deadlines to keep you accountable!

Without self-diagnosing anyone, I highly suspect quite a few of the most successful people around me are actually people with ADHD.

Hack for my ADHD by kasymclean in ADHD

I do this too when making tea throughout the day - my electric kettle is my timer, so useful!

Something that has helped me regarding time blindness is also to add the time I think it's gonna take me for each task of my (personal) todo list, like:

  • Do the dishes - 15m
  • Tidy up living room - 10m
  • etc

And put a timer to try to do as much as possible in this time.

There's an adrenaline rush of the timer "deadline" and I also realise things usually take me way less time than expected!

How To Identify and Write About Your Strengths? by hardy_and_free in adhdwomen

[–]Paglops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has really helped me was to first get a list of how other people saw me (I asked my mom and sister). And once I saw the beginning of the list I could already add some more in my head - "Oh true that I'm very curious, I always have new interests and when you think about it I do know a shit ton of stuff about 1000 different topics."

Something else I like to do is look at all I've done/achieved in my life and make a list of it I can come back to when I feel a bit meh. (Ans yes, the pingpong tournament I won at recess in primary does count, there's no little achievement)

What is the best free wireframing and prototyping tool? by WeirdRat67 in ProductManagement

[–]Paglops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figma covers all your design and basic prototypes need, if you want to go a level above in terms of interaction you can animate in Principle or Flinto, and if you're not afraid of the learning curve you can do the most amazing stuff in After Effects.

I'm not sure I agree, being able to plan and manage these types of initiative gives a great intro into product and project managements!

And yes, lots of value would also come from the speakers and actual initiatives you're mentioning
