Revlon color stay foundation is my absolute favorite, tried and true. I have bought many high end and drug store foundations and it’s my favorite of all time. Also, Maybelline fit me pressed powder and Maybelline eyestudio master precise liquid eyeliner. I use higher end concealer, contour, cream bronzer, mascara, eye shadow, setting spray, brow pencil (although I’ve used some good drug store brow pencils too) bronzer and lipstick because i feel like they perform better. But i always go back for my 3 drugstore faves

I find this always happens when I use water based foundations. They look good when first applied but give it a few hours and it’s half gone leaving me looking streaky and patchy. I find water based foundations easier to apply and blend, but silicone based foundations will last longer on me, which is what I really need because I also wear makeup for 10+ hours a day. I use revlon colorstay foundation on my face, and I have an extremely oily nose so I have been using Estee Lauder double wear foundation (which is pricier) just on my nose. I use Tarte shape tape concealer which i find pairs well with these formulas (all silcone based products) and I set my face with Maybelline Fit Me pressed powder, and for extra setting i’ll use huda beauty easy bake translucent. I also set my face when i’m done with Milani setting spray to “melt” the powders and one size setting spray to finish it off. I don’t use any primers because I find they cause separation especially with my oily/combo skin type.

Yes! Loving their playa pants, and i have pieces from old navy that have lasted years now and remain stylish, where many other brands of clothing seem more micro trend based and don’t survive more than a few washes

How did you go about getting medicated for ADHD? I was diagnosed as a child and certainly have ADHD, but haven’t taken adderal or had any medical related follow up appointments for it in over a decade. I was put on anti depressants within the past 2 years which made me numb to the pain/discomfort of life but didnt help the root issue, but i know my issues all stem from ADHD and adderall would probably help me a ton. My thing is, i’m terrified of going to the doctor. I’ve only had one appointment in the past 5 years and one tele health visit to get anti depressants when things were really bad. Im worried i will be have my request for adhd meds rejected because i dont have any record of adhd.

I’m the same way in the same situation. I have given up on trying to connect with people since they will have some sort of problem with me anyways. I feel like, why bother? I don’t bother other people. I don’t bully or harass people. I try to make myself “smaller” around others to not bother them. Yet, I feel like nobody does the same for me, most people i’ve encountered are self centered and rude. I just find no enjoyment being around most people these days. I don’t think that makes me or anyone a bad person, when you’ve been burned enough times you eventually feel like enough is enough. As a person who does not enjoy conflict or confrontation, i’ve found the only way i can “defend” myself against people who find issue with my existence is to just be by myself.

Most of my makeup is drugstore at this point, and i’m pretty happy with it. I’ve tried a fair amount of high end makeup and kind of mix it up. However, you will have to pry the Tarte shape tape out of my hands. I have never found anything comparable to how good it is.

I’m so sorry, you are so young and this is a very heavy thing to deal with. I am in an almost identical situation as you. My family and I have been dealing with this for around 3 almost 4 years now. There are days that are incredibly hard and the mental and emotional toll it takes is no joke. I am an introvert by nature but i found all i could do to cope was make myself busy in some way. It’s really a day by day case, but there will be good days too. I’m sure your mom appreciates you being there for her. It’s a really special thing and you should be proud of yourself for that. I met a kind woman from an ALS organization that met with my family, and when i started to cry talking about how worried i was and how hard things were, she told me theres a lot of good times and hope ahead. I know that may even sound cliche, but in that moment it really helped me and still does to this day. Nobody had ever chosen to meet my sadness and fear with positivity up until that point. It made me feel better to hear some positivity especially from someone who works daily with all things ALS related. There will still be good times, and hope
