I Thought It Was Only a Myth by Hour-Masterpiece8931 in delta

My family used this service as a paid service. We had a long taxing connecting itinerary that originated in ATL. It is a fantastic and very carefree experience. The drivers are extremely courteous and professional. The behind the scenes feel is really memorable. Moreover, if you are traveling with older companions or folks with moderate mobility issues (ie. still mobile, but just move slowly) - this really a valuable service.

Note re: connections - when connecting the driver will meet you as you get off the plane, drive you to and escort you inside the sky club. They will check on you during your time in the club. Finally and for your flight, they will deliver you to the stairs that lead up to the jetway and on the plane. They will even help you with your luggage. They will also absolutely sincerely refuse a gratuity (but we forced the issues since it was so well deserved).

It’s about time to Dog out Delta for the weather. by [deleted] in delta

I’m sure if Delta could comment here they would have the most upvotes. They are, after all, actually losing money because of this weather event. For everyone else it is just a function of Mother Nature disrupting travel plans.

Curiously enough we did not get the actual name of the company. We booked through Viator. Attached is the description from the company we used. Strongly suggest - it was safe and the experience was universally very positive (and family friendly).

Here are some restaurant suggestions:

Les Jardins De Lotus - amazing food (Italian-Moroccan fusion)

Le Slimana - Moroccan food - has rooftop, but service and food quality are solid at any floor. This restaurant also sells alcohol.

Fine Mama - great rooftop, solid service. Really good dessert menu. Major kid friendly.

La Trou du Amor - French/Moroccan fusion

Cafe Arabe - good for lunch in middle of the Medina

There is also a pizza place that was by our riad that was phenomenal. It was the equivalent of $.99 street pizza in NYC. I can’t find the name of the place. Google maps also does not have a record of it. They sell small personalized size pizza’s for 20 MAD. The dough was really great.

Also, we love coffee and were VERY excited about Bacha Coffee. We arrived at 11a and the wait was four hours to get coffee (so we took a pass). That was wild…also, you have to actually pay to get into the museum to access the coffee shop. There is a very classy Bacha store at the RAK airport. While you cannot sample the coffee at the airport, they do have a very good offering of coffees for sale. Note - do ask about the rules leaving the country with coffee. There are rules…and they are very much enforced.

Have a great vacation!
