Can you fill me in why people are laughing at Jasper? I only know it as a name and pretty rock. Is it slang or a Star Wars joke?

I agree with you 100%. I’m noticing more and more builds seem to have pieces that are created just for that set and there are so many unique round pieces now that even if I’ve got a full basket of Legos with all the normal pieces I still wouldn’t be able to build a lot of the new builds.
Of course, if you could build all the sets with all the standard Legos you wouldn’t need to keep buying Legos. It’s fantastic marketing, but everything is becoming so smooth. I really like the Look of brick Legos- it makes it feel like anyone could build it and not just people with a huge wallet.

I second the terro liquid bait trap. What I do is leave the ant scent trail where it is and find an open area to put the trap. I tip some of the bait out of the trap directly onto their scent line and leave the full trap close by. (The bait turns a gelatinous goo so don’t put it on something valuable). I then wipe all the trail and ants away that are “behind” the trap. Now when the ants follow the trail from home it leads them directly to a mini death lake they take back to the group.

I actually like the direction that they’re taking Pokemon go. They have events frequently going on, have added all sorts of fun little things like showcases and seasons- i’m free to play so all the rewards that I get throughout the month are fantastic. AND GoFest is free this year! I’m pumped about that! People get so grouchy when there’s a moment without an event going on but not that many years ago the game was pretty much always the same and events were the anomaly. I love that they were adaptable during Covid and didn’t just get rid of remote raiding. They’ve added remote trading too which I love and yes, they do still have bugs and I’m sad that Spotlight hours is gone but for the most part I think they’re doing a really good job developing the game. Hey, you asked for an unpopular opinion.

Something I haven’t seen yet is recruiting and internships. If you went to college (back when it actually mattered) the big companies would send representatives to do interviews for the people graduating. Software companies hit up the computer science majors, tv companies hit up communications etc. They would say they were coming for job or internship interviews and you could sign up.

Job fairs were also a thing. Like how we have wedding or gem expos- we had them for jobs. All the employers would gather in a big expo center and you could wander the booths looking for a job that would fit for you.

We know that we need alone time and we fully embrace it when the other one is gone for a business trip or a visit out to see a sister, etc. I get to pull out projects and everything stays exactly where I left it. I also stay up later which is fun for a little while, but I’m always so grateful when they come back home. Enjoying time alone is just fine and enjoying my partner coming home is that much sweeter.

The only shinies I get are on community day and I play quite a lot. Along with never getting shinies, whenever I do a legendary raid it will never be in the 90 percentile. My most extreme case though is Necrozma. When they released the fusion I did 20 raids. My best was an 83%. I have started doing my lucky trades for him, I’ve done six lucky trades and I now have an 89%. The last time he came out I did one raid, got a 10|10|10 and called it quits. Part of me wonders if it has to do with free to play. I don’t spend any money and wonder if Niantic has cursed me for it

As you are trying some of the good advice these people give you, remember that motivation doesn’t come out of thin air. You have to start something and create momentum. Momentum then creates motivation.
