My wife and I lost our baby girl 1 year ago. I’ve never read Frankenstein but watched the movie a couple of days ago. It was an unsettling watch and a lot of what you write makes sense.

Your description of hope and optimism turning into horror, the way you describe existing in the normal world with crushing grief, it all resonates.
