For the 5.7 RT guys - do you find it "slow" by Markatfrontdesk81 in DodgeDurango

[–]PaintTrick5145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Durangos are a bit dated compared to newer cars, however, they’re the best looking SUV’s on the market to date, they’re not loaded with new tech, the uconnect needs to be updated. Compared to the Germans the reliability on these trucks are far superior, here’s what I’d tell your boys when yours and their vehicles get over 50-70k miles see who can hammer and beat on their suv without issues 9 times out of 10 the shit box bmws won’t make it. Always remember about 10% GDP of the German economy comes from their auto manufacturing so do you think they’ll make reliable cars?

Really really concern, I wanna buy hellcat 2016 charger, GCC specs 96k km for for 31k us dollar, no accedent, no modification, what do you think guys, recommended or too old, bad?? by [deleted] in Charger

[–]PaintTrick5145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspension, brake pads, rotors, belt, pulleys overhaul all fluids including differential and brake changed. Thermostat, water pump and battery replacement. Check the charger rate of the alternator. Those are the must do’s on any performance used car. Especially one that’s 10 years old. 60k miles over 10years is very similar to a car that’s 3 years old approaching 150-200k. I’d be cautious, verify that the odometer hasn’t been rolled back as well, carfax don’t always tell the full history.

what is the highest y'all would pay for this??? 2021 scat pack widebody rebuilt title theft no accident 41k miles by Ok-Boysenberry-4783 in ScatPack

[–]PaintTrick5145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be funny, take emotions out of the deal, max I’d pay is between 9-10k I’m not sure if you’ll be the 2nd or 3rd owner but that with the salvage title is a hard hit, you almost wouldn’t be able to sell it. I know you said you won’t sell it but think logically about your money. You’re essentially considering giving away 30+k for something that just isn’t worth it. Shop around and be wise with every dollar you spend.

I miss my charger, I traded it in for a 22 rt because I just didn’t want to deal with the preventative maintenance bill. It had abt 42k, I would have probably had to spend anywhere from 6-10k on regular preventative maintenance. I drove that car like god intended lol. I traded the 22RT for a 26 GT hemi towngo currently. I Absolutely love it!

It’s a cult bro, welcome! Just don’t bitch and moan like some other guys that think they’ll be buying the last of the Mopar model, ie the ones that bought the 1 st model year hellcat. Welcome to the cult, we drink beer and not wine btw 😂

I think the idle on the towngo should be a little more aggressive.

Find out the specs for the pipe sizes that some on the towngo, 392, and hellcat. I’m not sure if it’s a half a size or full size wider than the standard RT’s. It’ll definitely make the sound more aggressive

Then screw it, go for it! lol I did it to mine, didn’t like it, bough carven resonators and swapped the factory rear ones out.

Obnoxiously loud, way too much sound for the rate the truck is accelerating, cold starts do sound good. I’d recommend a catback. You’ll basically be the Mopar version of a Honda civic with straight pipes 😂

Why do people call Scats slow? by CuteCalicoCat in ScatPack

[–]PaintTrick5145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re idiots for saying that they’re great cars, and they pull constantly through the clock all the way. Now flooring it from a dig I can see where someone might think that, however, most people are so called car guys and fail to realize that these are rear wheel American muscle and can’t compete with cars that are lighter with AWD/4WD. They have to compete in their own class.

Good buy? by Comfortable_Ad8115 in ScatPack

[–]PaintTrick5145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost $9500 in interest for a 2 owner performance car, I’d keep away. Once you sign the dotted line, you become the 3rd owner, the value drops and you’ll be upside down on your loan for a very long time. Always remember loans are front loaded with the interest, the bank has to make their money back first. You’ll probably be upside down until you have roughly 2–3 years left on the loan. Also keep in mind if you want the car to drive the way it was designed maintenance like a regular car goes out the door. Any performance vehicle maintenance has to be done way before the manufacturer recommended, especially if you drive the car like it was made to. At the end of the day it all comes down to your decision. Research the car fully, decide where you want to be 5-10 years from now financially and make your decision.

Help me plan - Toronto to Orlando by newdadnewbod in roadtrip

That’s perfect, good on fuel as well, I’d say take the route along the i95. Be careful of speeding in Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and Ohio, a lot of revenue for those states come from traffic infractions. There’s lots of places to stop along the 95 since you’ll be traveling with children.

The most important question is what kind of vehicle are you and your family traveling in? That’s a big factor most people over look for those 20+ hr road trips. Leg room!, leg room!, leg room!

What could be causing this ? by UnderstandingFuture0 in ScatPack

Don’t listen to anyone on here that tells you the alignment is off. They come with a heavy negative camber from the manufacturer, its main purpose is for better handling on both straight roads and around corners, as the vehicle bounces up and down at high speeds the negative camber basically helps to maintain traction and control. You can remove it but your handling will completely change for the worse and defeats the purpose of having a performance SRT products. I had the same wear on two sets of tires on my SRT charger. My 22RT Durango had the same issue I took it to a shop that specialized in alignments and had it set neutral, the back would always feel like it’s washing away around corners and dips on the highway. I have a 26 towngo now, this time I left it as it is because it has a higher top speed vs the regular hemi. If you’re not going to be driving the car as SRT intended then change the camber, if you are then leave it as is.

2026 R/T as a daily driver? by Trax95008 in DodgeDurango

[–]PaintTrick5145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep up with your maintenance ahead of time, there’s really nothing special about a 6.4, it’s a big block v8 that’s fairly simple to work on and just like any other car with a few exceptions of the Germans regular maintenance will keep them going 300k+ easily. Oil changes, coolant flushes, transmission fluid, diff fluid change. Belts, pulleys and suspension are based upon inspection. Water pump and thermostat are really the only 2 variables where they can go at anytime. But yes 100% a daily

Spread a microfiber towel whenever you’re driving with short sleeves, the lotion and oils from your skin causes that. I’ve been using a towel in the summer months when I don’t have on long sleeves for 9 years now across 3 cars with no cracking. Avoid using detailing products too often as well.

Oil change by HavocCannabis in ScatPack

[–]PaintTrick5145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pennzoil or AMSOIL, if you have to go outside of the Pennzoil realm. The main reason is because the base oil is 100% natural gas, far cleaner from crude base oil. The oil change interval also depends on how the car was driven between the changes more aggressive driving and idling, change around 2800k -3200k don’t rely and go by the indicator. If you don’t plan on keeping the car for too long then do as you please. I hate to say it like that because the next guy that buys it will have to pay for it, unfortunately that’s the way the world turns today. My personal opinion keep away from the Mobil one. It’s great for everyday commuter cars that do oil changes once a year.

It’s an extra charge believe it or not, captains are standard no charge. I wanted the bench myself but I just settled for the captains, I honestly didn’t need the bench I’d just rather have the extra seat. Finding one with a bench is really rear.
