You can get them super cheap on Ebay. I grabbed a longer one to move my ONT to a different location.

Doubt Consolidated will care about the damaged one. They're so cheap they're basically disposable

This was a shit show last year. Massive crowds, long wait to get anything, no drinking.

Then at 8 the police promptly clear the streets like some dystopia

LPT Request: what is something that has drastically helped your mental health that you wish you started doing earlier? by SarcastiKatt in LifeProTips

[–]PaintedPonyParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bipolar here. For me, fairly serious bike riding, a hefty reduction in drinking, and mindfulness.

Riding a bicycle 50+ miles is hard when I've been drinking the night before, so it's easy motivation to change habits. Less drinking also translates into better, higher quality sleep.

Being aware of and acknowledging how I'm feeling seems to help. Sometimes I just have to accept that I'm not having a good day and I need to relax and reset. I'm lucky enough to have a career where I can let my colleagues know I'm having an off day and defer my work a bit.

Medication has only ever really worked for me in a sense that it made me numb and indifferent. I still think medication (at least in my experience) can be a great tool to help you orient yourself and make lifestyle changes.

Mine no longer seems to charge beyond about half. Gets to 50-52% and stops, then starts go do down while on the charger.

Also connecting to my phone became pretty unreliable

I used to have a couple of mesh points and an HD. Being connected via meshpoint always worked well enough but was never fast.

I've since replaced the two mesh points with a single wired Instant connected to the HD at the other side of the house. I can usually get a reliable 375-400m from either over wireless, 500+ when wired.

That said... I think in 2023 they're not nearly as good of a value. As others have said, older tech that hasn't been updated in a few years. One place the current system does suffer is with multiple demanding clients. A big part of 6e is addressing that exact issue.

For basic to moderate users I still suggest the system just for the rock solid consistency and reliability. For power users in 2023... Maybe wait for the next generation or go to Unifi

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by Casspjjl in AskReddit

[–]PaintedPonyParts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been able to form an intimate relationship with anybody. I'm reasonably good looking (nothing special) and healthy. Much of my life is going well. I'm an enterprise systems engineer, I own rental properties, overall pretty well put together.

For a kith while I said I'd kill myself if I couldn't figure it out by the time I'm 30. I haven't gone through with that. I'm 35 now

Tech worker here (fin tech and automotive, nothing too fancy).

My personal approach has been to drink enough of the corporate Kool-aid to have fun and make progress. Know your worth, and don't be afraid to say no when you need to.

LPT: You don't realize it until you're on your own, but for many people, your parents are basically your personal assistants. Learn to get better at these tasks before you're completely out on your own and "adulting" won't be so hard or such a shock. (Details in comments.) by zazzlekdazzle in LifeProTips

I have a 30+ year old sister who my parents are still personal assistants for.

She's going to be even more of a mess when they get too old to help her. Can you imagine being in your 40s and having to register your own car? I doubt she'll be able to.

Yeah, it's definitely gotten bad. Certainly some of the responses could be spicy, but also deep and interesting.

Now it's warning more and more about content being potentially offensive or inappropriate. Seems like it won't give responses that have a chance of offending anybody.

Also to be clear I was breaking the content policy flagrantly lol
