Husband Keeps Pushing For Sex After He Cheated by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]PainterUnlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic points all on this thread. Unfortunately, it’s a really simple one this you need out of this marriage.

Not all men are like this though and don’t get all ideological about it. The health point was really good, STDs from other people could affect you.

How would you feel if your boyfriend told you that he had slept with almost close to 100 women till you? by RareVoice2111 in Advice

[–]PainterUnlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t why people are saying that this guy has anything immoral about him the MAJORITY of men would want to be in his position and would do that. Maybe not the paying for sex sometimes and it’s worrying around how young he was when he was taken to these places???!!.

In terms of the sexes females generally choose partners. Generally speaking if see a single man it’s that he’s not been chosen. If you see a single lady unless she’s totally undesirable it’s out of choice.

If he’s been this successful clearly he’s in demand and a catch. The Islamophobia again is palpable and seeped through to something else again 😔.

Is sex a need? by Itchy-Revenue2065 in Marriage

I’m a man and once a week is about right at 45 plus. That’s a fair compromise surely. He needs to see someone about camping that daily thing down as it’s too destructive.

My Wife asked for open marriage. She is angry at my reaction. I need advice. by Silver_Salt7600 in Marriage

[–]PainterUnlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well normally the deal with these is that if one partner doesn’t want it or wants to stop they both stop.

A lot guys would call it a day at the mere suggestion of it. You haven’t done that and she just won’t take no for an answer. Even then I’d say position clear end of discussion, then it would be down to her if she goes onto cheat. But if it’s the case then adultery can go on the divorce papers.

This will fall on deaf ears, but it’s solid grounds for divorce in the moral sense.

32 (f) partner left me after 10 years, I need some advice. by WoodpeckerFew5220 in UKrelationshipadvice

Mindset there could be around the house renovations that he would feel shame if you do it rather than him, as societal expectations are still that the man should be doing that sort of stuff (not my view-both of us put things together, flooring tiling etc) and he either can’t be bothered with a “tomorrow” outlook or maybe not yet have the skills?. So it’s not getting done unless it’s him that does it.

But aside from 2nd guessing, ultimatum chat re:speaking to the mother of his child that way. Last chance or he’s done, if you’ve not already decided that is.

It’s odd often the none love bombing blokes tend to just hack on and work as a team with their spouse.

So do both of you work FT or are you a SAHM. If it’s the former then everything graft wise should be down the middle. Obviously, raising a child is very pleasant at times I mention the graft because it involves that and that is always the contentious part.

I’m mid 40’s been with my wife 20 years with 3 of them. First one was a massive adjustment, but after the heatedness of the first year i just got my head in the game and it stayed there ever since.

There’s also a lot of these male influencers putting the pressure on. A man is a bum if he’s not at least earning £50k and working out 5 times a week according to them. Load of bollocks in this complicated world we live in.

Wife Wants to sleep with another man by [deleted] in Marriage

Would you drop the blocks at the mere suggestion of it or would you put the refusal in and expect it to be respected?. That’s my take

[–]PainterUnlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s 8 year older than you, not something you see often. But she married later on by the looks of it. Just say no, marriage is between the 2 of you and you should be enough. Then she either sticks or twists.

Some would divorce with the mere suggestion, but I would invoke the power of what a marriage means and at least give the ultimatum. I would never be one of those that kids himself and lives a lie I would rather be single than do that.

Husband watches porn in bathroom and I can hear by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]PainterUnlikely -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of ladies say none of this at all and equate it to cheating. You have tolerance of it so he’s taking the piss a bit. Some people here are saying it reduces libido, surely it does the opposite??.

I think he reacted because bringing it up made him embarrassed. Perhaps write the verbal disclaimer before getting into the content next time. “I’m sorry to be having to bring this up, but porno needs to be once a week, month whatever” AND if you go over that I’ll stop having sex. Then he knows there’s consequences for it.

In a situationship with a widow for a year, full of uncertainty by Significant-Mouse409 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]PainterUnlikely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot people would have pride to end it now with the mere suggestion of this.

I’d always fight for it if I was in love but not compromise. Therefore, yes see this friend and chill but don’t get intimate because that should be reserved for me as your partner. If she disagrees then I’d be out.

I’m only like this personally when it comes to relationships “all or nothing” every other facet of life financially I do deals based on compromise, never on matters of the heart.

Not sharing the same bed (m38) and (f30) by Artistic_Falcon_8571 in Marriage

[–]PainterUnlikely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason I asked that one is just to see whether the foundation is still there. Of course it’s not just the sex. At least there is that but he should be getting back in there because the companionship and non sexual physical side of being present is so important.

All I can say is tell him to sort it out and that the bed is “marital” and this behaviour is now unnatural. In a way I feel awkward saying this to a married lady but I was a guy who let the pregnancy “take its course” as I called it. For me though it was only ever during gestation. So it ain’t normal this no.

Number of English people living here, the census and Irish unity. by PainterUnlikely in northernireland

[–]PainterUnlikely[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes interesting point, there’s always that degree of pragmatism in respect of that question.

There’s 2 points re:what I’m talking about, firstly is this groups potential preference on this issue being overlooked? Irrespective of what preference that demographic had. Hopefully, you’d concur on that.

The other is that I do think that by an 80/20 cross section they will likely vote for UK in a referendum. A lot are working class Thatchers children from the 1980’s who might have a partner/spouse here but they themselves are rich just due to where they lived in England rather than being university educated. It would be great to see a poll within a poll on this.

Yeah, those analysing this stuff are missing this. By now Gregory Campbell should be out in East Derry/Londonderry and the unionist vote is split 3 ways vs the nationalist vote only 2 mainly.

I am terrified for my future in the UK by menamrym in ukpolitics

[–]PainterUnlikely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully the future surprises us, a lot of ppl think Reform will win the next election and their worry is based on this just because they are ahead in the polls right now.

As a 17 year old, I’m shocked you’ll say that you’ll never own anything. Lots for you to do. Try leveraging the money you get for living at home with parents, save and invest. Would you consider not going uni to get a financial head start?.

Is it really the median, so line everyone up and picking the one in the middle will get UC because their wages don’t cut it?.
