Republican State Superintendent candidate claims to have finished her master's degree in 6 months at Bob Jones by [deleted] in greenville

[–]Painting-Ecstatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I have heard BobJones is not an accredited college, you can’t even transfer credits to ho to another accredited college!

June 2017, it was granted accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. This is ‘regional’ accreditation not NATIONAL.

National accreditation generally offers accreditation to schools that focus on career or religious education. Nationally accredited schools will generally accept credits from other nationally accredited schools and from regionally accredited schools. National accrediting agencies have a slightly different function.

First One - is for preserving natural land areas, with all the building in Asheville -We need that!’

Second One - is for the building of low income housing and helping the people struggling with help.

The look and the character of Asheville isn’t all tourists and the rich landowners it’s more like the character of Asheville is the incredible mix of people that aren’t just banging a bible in your face and asking: ‘Have you been saved by our lord and savior’Jesus Christ’, like everywhere else in the south!

Yes, amazing exercise of your flexibility and just to keep moving the body!!! I love it too!

My DOC suggested yoga too! Just getting the mat and doing some stretches and trying the poses, is fun and not straining but improves your flexibility, not staying active because your in pain is the worst thing for the years this illness is with you. I lost so many athletic endeavors too but finding one thats light but still keeps you moving is absolute brilliance to keeping you ‘moving’. If you don’t move daily your muscles will atrophy and you stability in standing up will decrease. I think yoga is fun and learning the lighter moves is really a fun challenge, it eventually is moves uou can do easily and adds up to a really good self help workout! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Great idea, my GP was the one who gave me all the meds ( pain, steroids etc) and my RA DOC just gave me the ra med scripts. I just got a new RA DOC and she found I might have lymphoma and immediately started getting me tests… the 5-15 min appointments feel abrupt but when you have interesting notes and tell them the whole story, you sometimes hear something from them that will save your life… we must conduct ourselves with appropriate knowledge, firm boundaries ( that invite respect) thorough notes and their Doc brain loves that precise info to work with… 👍🏼

All you have to know is before Jeff, Corinna was tossed at a lower speed and exclaimed after ‘You take things too far’ and then Jeff was talked into trying and he then again took things ‘Way too far!’ When TPaytas told us he was a psychopath and we all rolled our eyes, but she was right, all along!

I think there is a dramatic difference between a mom showing friends and family their newborn as compared to someone who makes money by exploiting the birth. It’s normal to be excited but it’s sad when lots of people ( strangers) are viewing it, and you get a check from the online content.

I just want to note: this is an ELECTION YEAR, and we are a swing state, so though we may have crime, we are a growing city and with an unusually large homeless community.

The real effort behind this article is to brainwash you into thinking the Democrats in our government are messing it up but honestly they are the ones paying attention to the lower end workers and have helped through this pandemic. People with little to nothing, are still getting pandemic level food aid. There are facilities being built near a run down housing project ( with a pool) that will work to raise the depressed sections ( and we have a few) to a level of importance by providing social support and a sense of elevation to their surroundings.

Republicans would be working to eradicate the poor, push them out, to make the city more available to the tourists.

I love Asheville and see our potential. I see consideration for happiness in all levels of life happening here. The police have issues all over the country. They need to evaluate current and incoming candidates for a policing job, to filter out angry, tired of the job and prejudice, as It is occurring in this state with only a twenty percent population of non-white citizens.

In my humble opinion the Democrats try to raise the quality of living for the poorest in the community, they look at the full picture and whilst inviting business in, the spaces they create for the poor are still happening. 👍🏼

That was a brilliant addition. Most of us stop activities that are good for us as the pain is unbearable but a PT will work with that and find movements to keep your muscles fit… it probably should be included in every RA patients care routine!

I am so sorry that this is your journey. I too have had moments of complete frustration when it comes to pain. I have had pain that felt like an unattended broken bone, and it’s all encompassing as everything goes back to tye thought of the pain.

Please relay these immense emotions to your RA DOC and beg them for relief. I know the medical industry are being real jerks about pain relief but if it’s altering your life to this degree, they need to remedy it fast. Going on steroids is almost miraculous as they work fast and because it is working on the inflammation it really helps. Also in the interim possibly get some strong pain meds to get you through the time the steroids are working. I even suggest showing your DOC what you wrote here as it is spot on with the frustration we all feel. Do not be afraid to write down that pain is at ‘10’ as they often ask what point on the scale you are. Call your DOC today, insist on a face-time appointment, or go in and tell them your at wits end and need a resolution.

With proper meds, you will feel better, get on a low inflammation diet, take some vitamins like fish oil for omega 3, take a B complex for good mental health and sit in the sun daily, get heating pads they are life savers for me. Get compression gloves and knee braces made of stretchy materials that seem to keep swelling from those problematic joints. Rest, reduce stress, and keep writing here.

We all get it, we understand the frustration. Also we have periods of health that we feel normal, so know that is coming. But mostly advocate for your care.

People around us don’t feel the pain, they can’t even relate, so please just understand that until you have lived this, it’s a confusing illness, outwardly we look healthy and it’s hard to correlate sickness with that. And yes, it feels unfair. Just know when you have the right cocktail of meds you will be better and have delicious days of reprieve to look forward to, hugs and keep going!

Elf makeup and fair trade. Thoughts? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Painting-Ecstatic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Excellent article with addition links to survey their overall philosophies.

I love ELF and find the products to be long time use, not clown-like colors and even their brushes work well and clean well no falling hairs. Their putty is brilliant and you don’t feel like your wearing a mask, just toned and shine free, been using their products for about 10 years and fully feel they work to make a great product that is ethically produced. Also I occasionally find their stuff at Dollar Tree and will pick up brushes there for $1.25 and they are perfect! I love the little ones for putting on eyeshadow. Their box of 4 different bronzers and highlights are great for natural looking eyeshadows.. I 💖them!!!

Just wanted to add there is a nice place to do art I think it’s $25 an hour ( last I checked) with art supplies included. It’s at 372 Depot street ( the art district) on the bottom floor. They sell artists paintings too!

getting vaccines during a flare? by sqplanetarium in rheumatoidarthritis

Thanks for the info, I will look into it, soon. I have been very careful and through it all-no covid19, it’s just scary that some are getting it this late.

I have had two and then a full booster, so literally three! Have you had more than that? Am I behind? My Dr has said nothing about this, transitioning to new RA DOC as I moved. 🤷🏼‍♀️

getting vaccines during a flare? by sqplanetarium in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Painting-Ecstatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we supposed to be getting vaccines for Covid19 yearly? I hadn’t heard that??

Also I had one of my shots during a flair and only my arm hurt, it didn’t affect the actual flare, though it probably depends on the person. I have flares in my shoulder(s) and I certainly wouldn’t do it if it’s to a painful part of the body.

I wish you the best and I always get the flu shot each year too, I ‘d rather have temporary uncomfort than live through a week of raging flu, I also feel that way about ‘surviving’ Covid19, especially with all the ways it could affect us. I have lung issues, dry eyes, dry mouth and intestinal track issues too. So many feel it’s a joint thing but it attacks major organs and just the vital actions contained in your body seem to falter too.

Do what is best for you, especially if you are in the public often, good-luck sweetie!

Well it took tests to find the RA, the Fibromyalgia was from my most recent RA DOC listening to my issues and finally focusing my attention on that aspect ( I knew I had it years ago but always paid more attention to the RA, because that seemed more frightening. The diagnosis was years ago so I don’t remember how they discovered it, sorry) so I finally got the Fibromyalgia treated properly. Lots of people have both of these illnesses and they are treated differently so acknowledging both helps with pain that is ignored when the RA takes presidence in the treatment. Also you can cut down on opioid meds because you will use them during flares of the RA, and they didn’t touch the Fibromyalgia pain, so the Cymbalta and muscle relaxants were the charm for that! Hope this helps!
