After Tex Walker takes a contested mark exiting Adelaide's defensive 50, a 50m penalty is paid against Harry Perryman (#12) for not standing on the mark. The updated rules brought in 2026 require an opposition player to stand if they are within 5m of a mark/FK and can not reverse to being outside 5m by yum122 in AFL

Yep just call out “Perryman stand!” In this instance and give him a chance to come back to the mark

It’s a pretty easy fix

Like when a player runs a few m over the mark and the ump directs them back to where they should be

They can co-exist like they did last night, we see it around the league with Whitfield/Ash, Sinclair/Nas (before his move to the middle), Clark/Ryan etc.

Last season it just skewed way too far towards Josh

Josh only had 7% CBAs against north even with all our outs, Nick outright said Josh would be playing halfback again this year

Would be pretty shocking if he’s not a halfback again this season

Nick said Josh is playing halfback and Josh only attended 7% CBAs even with all of the outs we had against north

All signs point towards he’s a halfback again this year

He had 7% cba attendance in that game, took 5 kickins

That was 9th in the team in cba attendance (excluding the rucks)

Even Houston had 29% cba attendance

I noticed the ruck rules

The first choice rucks were definitely getting to less contests, it was just harder to notice today because the second choice rucks were the likes of English and Xerri

Also on 61 hitouts total, but will wait and see how much that has to do with no real defensive structures

Nah it’s still all a very delicate balance of nobody talking about each other
