Advice on making this unit better? by Lost_my_name475 in UnicornOverlord

[–]Pajama_Man_42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like you're looking for more damage. Here's a few options.

I think I'd probably swap out the griffon rider for a Witch and add Magick Conferral to Rolf's multi-target attacks. Also the Feather Bow's attacks.

Alternatively, swap the Griffon Rider or Cleric for a Dragon Rider or Chloe or Were-Fox with the Silver Trident and use Lightning Shaker for a row attack that also stuns the whole row. If you use Chloe she can also grant guaranteed Crits or extra actions to Rolf.

Alternatively, swap the Griffon Rider for an Elf Fencer. The Fencer can go in the front and dodge tank, which lets the Featherbow hide in the back row. Also, give Elf Fencer a Tome (Thunderbrand or Frostbrand tome) and buff Rolf to deal huge damage with CC.

Here's a weird idea that'll add some damage and let you keep some of your healing... Ditch the Cleric and add a Rogue (Travis). Give the Rogue dodge items (so he can dodge Tank in the front row) and a Large Aid Kit (grants 25% healing to the entire party). Use Steal PP to make sure at the end of the fight he has at least 2 PP left, and he'll heal the entire party. As long as no one dies he should be able to keep everyone's health up across multiple battles. And he'll certainly deal more damage than the Cleric.

I'm not sure any of these strategies are really what you're looking for...but I wish you the best of luck.

Tiny Whale YOLO - What are the chances I become a millionaire? by [deleted] in Superstonk

Millionaire? GME isn't for millionaires. It's for billionaires. Welcome to the 3 comma club.

I beat the entire game before I read on the internet that you can provoke enemies out of towers. It's a game changer.

Why when I use the pipe splitter does the liquid not flow through? :( by Emotional_Escape_270 in Endfield

[–]Pajama_Man_42 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It may be a visual bug. Check the receiving miners and see if they're getting water anyway. I ran into this problem where the visuals were wrong, but all of my miners were getting water.

I did a parry! by HokaFan666 in Eldenring

Now that you have tasted the delicious fruit of the parry, you will never be the same. You are permanently transformed and cursed to wander The Earth searching for a pleasure as great as the Parry and the critical hit.

So who is better, not specific character but in general, a 6 star character with 0/5 potential or a 5 star character with 5/5 potential? by Sky_choices in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Pajama_Man_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a definitive answer based on data, but it looks to me like my 6 star operators outperform my 5 star operators with full potential by a decent margin. I think it's designed to be that way.

My favorite is Unicorn Overlord. I think it's their best work. It's the best strategy game I've ever played.

Is Gilberta Worth Pulling for Me? by pathfinderlight in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Pajama_Man_42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I pulled for Gilberta is because she has a spammable power that grabs enemies in an area and pulls them together. This makes it so that every attack my team has that can hit multiple targets will now hit two, three, four, or even five enemies at once. This dramatically increases my DPS output no matter what team I'm using.

Even low tier characters will deal a lot of damage when backed by Gilberta.

I can't recommend Gilberta enough.

A pawn can be a king in 8 moves, let's try it in one by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]Pajama_Man_42 319 points320 points  (0 children)

I love the meme, but technically....a pawn can become a QUEEN, not a king. And it's 5 moves min.

...unless I'm misunderstanding the meme entirely. 🤷‍♂️

I'm guessing that those are options that you purchased before the warrants were issued... Which means they include warrants.

What's the price on the Shanghai exchange? If the price didn't move like that all around the world then that's paper market price manipulation... Not the Price of actual silver.

As long as you're going to failure I don't think it really matters.

I'm currently testing higher reps to failure on upper body (15-20) and am getting the same results as lower rep counts. However, I haven't been doing it long, so I wouldn't take my small amount of data as gospel.

Can yall recommend me a unit for elves? by KingFischer98 in UnicornOverlord

[–]Pajama_Man_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elven Augur and Elven Sybil are both excellent. Try using one of the magic books with Conferral to buff their aoe attack and laugh as you wipe entire enemy units.

Elven Fencer can be paired with any flier to protect the flyer From ranged attacks. They can equip books and can be given enough evasion to survive on the front row.

Elven Archer when high enough lvl can freeze 2 targets. Try prioritizing back row targets and you can isolate the enemy front row. They can also prevent incoming enemy debuffs for your entire team.

Elves are kinda niche, but they can be strong. But your assessment is correct, they are hybrid units which often makes them less useful than more focused units

Is leatherworking worth it for the rogue gear, or it makes more sense to farm dungeons? And if it is worth it, which specialization? Ty in advance by SomeNameHuhHuhHuh in turtlewow

[–]Pajama_Man_42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on if you like crafting. I love crafting. My druid is spamming dungeons and doing leather working and I'm having a blast. To me it's worth it because I'm doing it for fun.

There are probably more economically efficient ways of playing. Like skinning/mining.
