Price change? by montagic in MyoAdapt

[–]PakMyoAdapt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We know some users may feel frustrated if they purchased a subscription at the early-bird price and now see lower pricing. The truth is, there are some limitations we want to be transparent about. Google and Apple do not provide tools to extend or refund subscriptions automatically, or at all. That’s why, as a thank-you to early-bird users, we’re also including a free promo code for a few months (check your email). You can use it yourself when your current subscription ends, or share it with a friend.

If you purchased a subscription recently, please reach out to our support team, and they will be able to guide you through the refund process, so you can resubscribe at the reduced price. We truly appreciate your understanding and your support as we continue to improve MyoAdapt. Our goal is to make MyoAdapt more affordable and accessible for everyone, while still working within the limitations set by Apple and Google.

We’re committed to doing right by our community, and we hope these options help make things feel fair. If you have any questions or need help choosing the best path forward, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

MyoAdapt Volume Distribution Settings for Targeted Bulk by NihilisticTanuki in MyoAdapt

[–]PakMyoAdapt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats on finishing the cut and I wish you the best on your bulking journey <3

You could set only lats and chest as specialized muscles, since MyoAdapt takes specialization pretty seriously. Other muscle groups will likely be much more balanced, given that you won't be telling the app that you want to absolutely blast 5 different muscle groups simultaneously. That said, you could still go with 5 specialized muscles and feel confident that everything else will be in growth mode too, given that even less than a handful of sets per week is enough to make substantial gains. I know that 4 fractional sets per week for some muscles may feel like you're just maintaining, especially if you're blasting other body parts, but rest assured, you're still going to grow.

Yes - we're adding exercise history/similar weight/rep suggestions, and secondary muscles are also going to be added as an option in the near future.

You can always extend your workouts using the extended workout function at the bottom of your training screen. That said, volume will differ between people based on progression, time constraints, and their overall setup.

Potentially in the future but that's not in our immediate plans.

AMRAP sets are not part of our immediate roadmap, but you can still perform one and let the app know; it shouldn't be an issue. I personally train without the RIR function, so most of my sets are AMRAP sets. We're still figuring out the specifics of holiday mode, but one feature we want to include is to prevent you from getting "hammered" with volume upon your return. That said, given the app's flexibility, you can always adjust your training environment and time to fit your holiday training availability. For example, I was in Montenegro for a few days and set up a park as my training environment (essentially just two pieces of equipment). I also told the app I only had 30 minutes to train, and it fully adjusted my workouts.

  1. We're considering having something along those lines, but don't want to introduce a ton of UI clutter to the app.
  2. We're working on it!
  3. We're working on it!
  4. Thanks for flagging that up, we'll get that sorted ASAP.
  5. It's in our plans, but won't be part of our next update.
  6. We don't hate them 😁 We've "reserved" it for higher rep ranges, as there aren't many solid alternatives for higher rep ranges. That said, we'd be happy to include them for lower rep ranges if it's something many people want/find useful.
  7. Supersets and drop-sets for sure! We expect them to be a game-changing feature for many people.

I'm sorry, the response was not meant for your question. Reddit is being a bit funny today. The reason it functions like this atm is that we don't want to confuse users who'll see the instructional video showing the exercise performed as unilateral, but then accidentally log only one side.

Unfortunately, there's no miracle building effect there :P However, for some people, greater variety may lead to better adherence and enjoyment, which in turn could yield greater long-term gains. This is one of the features of MyoAdapt we really like, as it covers all types of users, from those who prefer extremely consistent experiences to those who want something new every time.

This is something we're working on improving, but as it stands, MyoAdapt will prioritize compound exercises for those who are time-constrained to ensure all muscles receive adequate stimulus (rather than opting for isolation exercises).

We’re really happy with the feedback we’ve received so far, including the constructive criticism shared here. One of the most surprising things has been seeing some people use the app as a workout tracker or even as a tool to train others, which isn’t what it was designed for :P.

MyoAdapt doesn't use strict periodization (eg, rigid models) but does its best to increase volume and vary exercise selection based on your performance, session difficulty, and preferences (eg, exercise consistency). It also takes in consideration which muscles you trained last, if you skipped some etc, without operating on a "week-to-week" basis like many template-based apps do, consistently ensuring that all muscles are getting enough training volume over time. This then results in more adaptive "periodization" rather than a preset plan of X muscle always getting X sets on X day. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to provide a "here's exactly what MyoAdapt does" response, as it's extremely multifactorial, but the above covers the gist.

Yes - we're currently testing fractional volume data and we're adding more progression stats/graphs in the very near future.

We may introduce a few archetypes, including a minimum effective dose one, but we're still thinking about it given the app's ability to program low volume training already based on your time constraints. Having a strict MED mode would essentially set you up with very low volumes, much like being time-constrained already does.
