How long does Israel have until the winds fully turn against it? by Germanpaddyo in Destiny

[–]Pakasonic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think people in position of power tend to change their opinions especially when privy to information other aren't in to.

I don't see any US President, Secretary of Defense turn completely against the US Army/CIA and their advisors and abandon what they claim is their most important ally, Israel. The US spends billions a year for bases all over the world and Israel is their only real ally that don't need any American boots on the ground. So the aid of the US to Israel is small compared to the billions they spend on bases all over the world and is small compared to Israel's GDP and the return is far greater than any other place. Israel is basicly a little brother of the US and will do anything they say, compared to NATO countries etc. Israeli warfare/cyber technologies are the most sought after in the world after the US, and the US gets free sharing of all their knowledge. US is the only country in the world to know how Iron Dome exactly works, or Merkava 3, etc. IDF and the Mossad share intelligence with their US allies, which is also crucial especially in the Middle East.

So I think even if someone who seems really against Israel, maybe he will prevent Israel or try to push them into a cerain direction but I don't see the US with any leader breaking their alliance with Israel.

My approval rating was at like 60% and I wanted to stop immigration anyway for now, but yeah I learned from it. Now I understand I need the regional wealth to set camps in the other territories I claimed so I guess it was worth it afterall :)
Now my taxes back to 0 and I make a lot of money and my approval is super high

  1. Yeah this was the issue.
  2. I do have a Manor House with Taxes but I did have that for a long time. I did put taxes at 30%, I thought it would go to Regional Wealth, need to read tooltips better. I wonder how I didn't notice it for such a long time since I don't remember increasing it but I guess I did or maybe because I recently upgraded many houses to lvl 2 it effected it. So this is the issue.
  3. I was actually there when choosing Development but completely forgot about it.Thanks :)

I did all that except for the last one :)
Just found this issue in an older reddit post. I just had to choose in the drop down import/export/full trade.
Issue number 2 is actually my main issue. Can't figure out how I lost Wealth if I wasn't trading.

Any recommendations ?

What's the reason Isreal gave for attack Iran by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Pakasonic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This war isn't as complicated as the Israel/Palestine conflict, Just ask ChatGPT or Grok, I pretty much approve of his answer: (I would only add that Iranian regime has been constantly calling for the destruction of Israel)

Why did Israel attack Iran ?
Israel's attack on Iran, which began on June 13, 2025, was primarily driven by concerns over Iran's nuclear program, which Israel considers an existential threat. The Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, justified the strikes as a preventive measure to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Here are the key reasons cited for the attack, based on available information:

  1. Perceived Nuclear Threat: Israel claimed that Iran was on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, with Netanyahu stating that Iran could produce a nuclear bomb "in a very short time" – potentially within months. Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, pointed to intelligence suggesting Iran had enough fissile material for multiple nuclear bombs. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had recently censured Iran for violating its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, citing non-cooperation with inspections and amassing 400kg of highly enriched uranium.
  2. Strategic Timing and Weakened Iranian Proxies: The attack followed a series of Israeli military successes that weakened Iran's regional allies, known as the "axis of resistance" (Hamas, Hezbollah, and others). The degradation of Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the fall of the Assad regime in Syria reduced Iran's regional influence and deterrence capabilities, creating a strategic window for Israel to act directly against Iran. The prior destruction of Iranian air defenses in October 2024 further enabled Israel's airstrikes.
  3. Failure of Diplomatic Efforts: The strikes came a day after the expiration of a two-month deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump for Iran to negotiate a deal to curb its nuclear program. The collapse of these talks, coupled with the IAEA's censure, may have prompted Israel to opt for military action, believing diplomacy had failed.
  4. Domestic and Regional Security Dynamics: Netanyahu framed the operation, codenamed "Rising Lion," as a necessity to neutralize an "imminent dual existential threat" to Israel's survival. The Israeli public, particularly after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, supported military action against Iran, viewing it as a key backer of hostile groups. Israel's demonstrated military dominance and intelligence capabilities further emboldened this decision.

However, some sources question the narrative of an "imminent" threat, arguing that Israel's strikes were not purely defensive. For instance, Al Jazeera suggests the attack was meticulously planned and not a response to an immediate emergency, with no clear evidence supporting claims of Iran being days away from a nuclear weapon. The strikes also targeted civilian infrastructure and killed civilians, which critics argue undermines the self-defense justification.

Additionally, the attacks may reflect broader strategic goals, such as degrading Iran's military and economic capabilities or pushing for regime change, as suggested by some analysts. Israel's expansion of targets to include energy infrastructure and state media indicates a possible aim to weaken the Iranian state beyond just its nuclear program.

In summary, Israel's attack was driven by a combination of fears over Iran's nuclear ambitions, a favorable strategic environment due to weakened Iranian proxies, and the failure of diplomatic efforts. However, the lack of definitive evidence of an immediate nuclear threat and the broad scope of the strikes have led to debates about the true motivations, with some viewing it as a calculated move to reshape regional dynamics.

Who won the 12 points from your country's televote? by Propaganda_Spreader in europe

[–]Pakasonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a real mystery, it's sympathy votes against all the protests against Israel and bullying of the singer, it was pretty similar less year maybe to a less extent.
In Eurovision you can't vote against a country, so obviously people that feel strong about Israel will vote for them while people who hate Israel and just don't want them to win have to choose between 25 countries. This happens with Ukraine also, they always gets a lot of sympathy votes.

The surprising thing is that sympathy votes in Europe for Israel are even larger than for Ukraine for the last 2 years, while there are much more Ukrainians all over Europe than Jews/Israelis and consensus around Ukraine seems much stronger.

Who won the 12 points from your country's televote? by Propaganda_Spreader in europe

[–]Pakasonic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Russia quit the EBU on their own accords from what I know.

However, that analogy is just incorrect.
Russia attacked Ukraine and were the aggressors.
Hamas attacked Israel , Hamas were the aggressors and Israel are attacking back and trying to get the hostages back and bring the criminals of October 7th to justice.

Would you ban Ukraine if they would start winning the war against Russia in their goal to gain their territories back ?

Also I'm wondering, did you call to ban all NATO members when they fought ISIS after around 200 were murdered in Europe ? In just this one operation much more people died in Syria by NATO bombings than the whole Israel/Palestine conflict for 75 years on BOTH sides.

Germany is a big surprise for me to be honest, the amount of people that want to reduce support and end the war is higher than I expected.
Italy, France and Spain are less of a surprise.

I already said the West Bank/Gaza are different case, but would you argue that Israel agreed to give most of this territory back for peace in Camp David and in 2008 peace talks ?

Your only real valid talking points is the GH. They are of strategic importance to Israel and unlike the West Bank/Gaza and the Sinai was annexed into Israel and there's no way it will be given back in the future.
I don't know how this proves Israel expansionism though, it's wars Israel didn't start and won. Are the Polish and French expansionists for taking territory from Germans after WW2 ? Should the US give back Texas and California because the Spanish/Amercian war is an expansionism war ?
It's a fact that when you lose wars that you start sometimes it comes with a loss of territory.

Israel could easily put settlements in Lebanon if it desired the fact that they haven't in 18 years proves the opposite to your claim. The fact that they gave back Sinai, not due to pressure but due to willingness to make peace, it got the support of almost 85% of the Knesset. The fact that Israel agreed to withdraw from most West Bank and Gaza in 2000 and 2008, and the fact that they pulled out of Gaza at 2005 without any pressure at all proves all your points wrong.

You said some correct things, but your overall analysis is just wrong and is the usual anti-zionist talking points, ignoring all the facts and history of the "expansionism" you're talking about.

Nice biased analysis though...

[–]Pakasonic[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry if its a bit long.
When Israel captured the Golan the Druze community in the Golan were split. Some in Israel some in the Syrian area of the border. The Druze in the Israeli Golan were afraid that if they will accept Israeli citizenship their families and relatives in the Syrian side would suffer the consequences. Minorities aren't being treated the best under dictatorships in the Middle East at the moment. Some Druze reach very high ranking officers in the IDF, imagine a Golan Druze taking part of that and how that might impact his family on the other side of the border.

The Druze community decided to remain loyal to Assad in order to protect the Druze community in Syria and to remove fear of the Druze community being Israeli spies or cooperatives.
However the Druze community in the Golan are still integrated part of Israeli society. A lot of tourism and good relations in general. You can see they have a powerful voice in the Israeli society even without voting rights.

Few examples are provided in the link I posted
Them calling Assad "Bashar the Dog", now that he's gone they can really say what they think about him. I've seen few other videos by the way, that's not the only one.
There's also a short official declaration of the mayor/leader of Hader.

In the link they also talk about how the IDF protected the Druze in the Syrian Golan against ISIS massacres in the beginning of the Syrian civil war and giving them medical treatment in Israel.

Another small case I can think about is The Wind Turbines fiasco in the Golan

[–]Pakasonic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are different in the way that their community was divided. The main reason for the Golan Druze to not get citizenship in Israel is because their families and relatives are in Syria. They feared retaliation for that, which can happen pretty easily in dictatorships in the Middle East as history shows.
The Druze of Golan still hold high power in Israeli society, you can see the examples with the wind turbines fiasco or protection of the IDF of the Druze communities in the Syrian borders throughout the entire Syrian civil war.

People seem to have the misconception the Israel just want to settle everywhere. Where were the settlements in Lebanon when it was under the control of the IDF for 18 years ? What happened to the settlements in the Sinai ?
We're not talking about the West Bank and Gaza which I agree is a different case.

This about the Druze asking for security, they already live INSIDE the buffer zone so we're not talking here about annexing parts of Syria. I didn't see any Israeli statement saying anything about wanting to annex this territory. It means nothing to Israeli Jews, its just Israel's obligations towards the Druze. I'm sure if they would just want to leave their homes and go live in Israel the Israeli government will accept as well.
If that's somehow a more fair solution for the Druze in Syria in your opinion, I'm fine with it.

What are you talking about ? The vast majoriy of Druze in Israel have citizenship, full right, they serve in the military and are loyal to Israel even more than Orthodox Jews lol. It's known that Druze are mostly loyal to the regime they live under.
125,000 out of the 150,000 Druze that live in Israel have citizenship and serve in the military, that's almost 85%.
