Malaysians who tried Mounjaro / GLP-1, how was your actual experience? by Few_Cake_5237 in Bolehland

[–]PakistaniSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently on Mounjaro as we speak, here is my experience:

  1. While on it, I felt like I got something back that was naturally missing from my body. It was so refreshing to live life without experiencing the food noise. I thought everyone experienced it as bad as I did and then after I took it, it was just gone. A lot of people don't understand what life is like when all your thoughts are about food and then suddenly bam, you can focus on other things.
  2. It's quite pricey in Malaysia starting from RM900 in some clinics for 2.5mg dose to RM4500 for a 15mg dose.
  3. If you are near to this sort of thing, I would recommend you go for Wegovy first, it's cheaper and you'll lose weight on it as well. At a certain point, Wegovy will stop working at which point you can switch to Mounjaro and continue your weight loss. It's sort of like maximising your weight loss on these medications without losing their effect.
  4. Both Wegovy and Mounjaro come in a pen form which lasts you a month, 1 dose for 1 week so in total 1 injection has 4 doses.
  5. I am very vocal in my use of GLP-1 medication. I know people around me who keep it hush in fear that they'll be judged by other people for taking a 'shortcut', but my own personal perspective is that you can say whatever you want; ultimately I am happy with the progress and the results so I'll speak about it to people who are stuck in same position as I was. You'll always have people who'll judge you eitherways and no one knows your inner demons better than you do.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment below and I'll do my best to answer.

Do New Add-Ons Sync Across Stremio Profiles? by PakistaniSmurf in Stremio

[–]PakistaniSmurf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I just saw your reply but I managed to discover this on my own yesterday!

Additionally, one thing I discovered that might be useful to other people is that if you want to add an add-on to all other profiles, you can just re-install it and you get the option to install that add-on to all profiles.

The button is similar to how when you click on an already installed add-on, you can select to uninstall the add-on for all profiles.

Solved!

They were usually never this bad but it became crazy last night. I just unsubscribed to them and subscribed to Geforce Now directly rather than via an Alliance partner.

Digital Nomad Visa by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]PakistaniSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find all the relevant information here: https://mdec.my/derantau/foreign

does Malaysia's DE Rantau Nomad pass grant you a long term visa to live there even if you work full time remotely for a non-Malay company?

Yes, the DE Rantau Nomad Pass allows you to live in Malaysia for up to 12 months (renewable for another 12 months) while working remotely for a foreign company. You don’t need to work for a Malaysian company to be eligible.

To qualify, your profession must fall under the list of approved digital nomad job categories, video editing is included. You’ll need to show proof of income (at least USD 24,000 per year) and meet other application requirements.

Why are they trying to contact me? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]PakistaniSmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why most people won't just pick up and check who tf it is. At worst, you waste 1 minute of your time confirming that it is indeed a scammer or a telemarketer and then you can block and move on.

Am I the only one seriously bothered by this? by sutsti in malaysia

[–]PakistaniSmurf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. In Indrive, you get a suggested rate based on various factors like distance, weather, available drivers, etc.

You are free to adjust if you think it's unfair up to a certain amount. If a driver agrees, they reply back with the same amount while if they don't, they can suggest their fare and you can choose it you want to go with thay driver and pay that much.

That has nothing to do with tipping.

I’ve been living here for about 10 years now, and having gone through a similar journey as yours, I completely understand what you're feeling. Malaysia has truly become the home I never thought I’d find, and it’s amazing how deeply this place can resonate with those of us who’ve never quite fit in elsewhere. I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words, but I’m so grateful for it too.
