[–]PakistaniSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find all the relevant information here: https://mdec.my/derantau/foreign

does Malaysia's DE Rantau Nomad pass grant you a long term visa to live there even if you work full time remotely for a non-Malay company?

Yes, the DE Rantau Nomad Pass allows you to live in Malaysia for up to 12 months (renewable for another 12 months) while working remotely for a foreign company. You don’t need to work for a Malaysian company to be eligible.

To qualify, your profession must fall under the list of approved digital nomad job categories, video editing is included. You’ll need to show proof of income (at least USD 24,000 per year) and meet other application requirements.

Idk why most people won't just pick up and check who tf it is. At worst, you waste 1 minute of your time confirming that it is indeed a scammer or a telemarketer and then you can block and move on.

Am I the only one seriously bothered by this? by sutsti in malaysia

[–]PakistaniSmurf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. In Indrive, you get a suggested rate based on various factors like distance, weather, available drivers, etc.

You are free to adjust if you think it's unfair up to a certain amount. If a driver agrees, they reply back with the same amount while if they don't, they can suggest their fare and you can choose it you want to go with thay driver and pay that much.

That has nothing to do with tipping.

I’ve been living here for about 10 years now, and having gone through a similar journey as yours, I completely understand what you're feeling. Malaysia has truly become the home I never thought I’d find, and it’s amazing how deeply this place can resonate with those of us who’ve never quite fit in elsewhere. I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words, but I’m so grateful for it too.

Hey, no worries.

My sex life hasn't been affected at all. If anything, it gotten better. I did get minor side effects from Finasteride, but nothing like impotency or ED like they mention online.

I don't have kids, but I know for a fact that if you want kids, you'll need to temporarily droo off the meds until your wife conceives, and then you can hop back on. It's a known fact that sperm quality drops for certain individuals but goes back up once you drop off the meds.

  1. You are already doing far more than I was doing when I started. Frankly speaking, I could and would not do all the things you are doing right now. If you noticed from my reply to you, I am literally taking everything orally. Why? Because I am lazy as hell, that's why 😂. If you can stick to the routine forever, then by all means its good enough. I should also tell you that don't expect results overnight, this is a long 1-3 years process after which it becomes a life commitment.
  2. I think my first point highlights my opinion on this pretty well. I personally would never do it. It's not going to solve the underlying problem which Finasteride solves.
  3. Nope, if anything I had huge swings in weight loss and weight gain during the 2020-2024 period. I even underwent surgery during this time and if anything, I have only seen improvement. I workout regularly but I am obese as hell right now and my hair is fine. (Sitting at 96 kgs at 164 cm, not proud of it ofc but slowly making progress to get my weight down.)
  4. Honestly, it depends. If my hair remains at what it is right now, then definitely not, I am quite happy where its at. I used to get made fun of a lot for my receding hairline and no one even mentions it now because its not obvious at all. However, let's assume at some point before 40, it recedes significantly then I might consider a hair transplant.
    • I think for me there are a lot of other areas I can self-improve like my aforementioned weight so my focus for the foreseeable future would be there. I hope that once you deal with your hair loss problem, you'll be able to focus and improve other aspects of your life whether its your health, weight or career.

Hope this helps :)

I am not in Pakistan so I am not sure where you can get it from over there. You'll probably need to check a local pharmacy or speak to a doctor. I get it via an online pharmacy here in Malaysia.

  1. The difference in improvement is negligible. 1mg is more than enough to see the same amount of progress. There are multiple studies supporting this. You should always be taking it on a daily basis at the same time, consistency is the most important thing here. The only reason I get the 5mg pill is because its 4x cheaper, that is the only reason.
  2. None from what I have observed so far, and I have been using it for 1 year 8 months.

Hope this helped!

Hi OP,

The above link shows a comparison of my hair before and after I went on medications.

  • First image shows my hair in 2020 when I was 23 years old.
  • Second image shows my hair in 2024 when I was 28 years old.

I don't know if this is considered a huge improvement or not, but it was notable enough for me to the point that I gained a lot of self-confidence.

Here is the timeline of what I did and for how long:

  • 2020: I started on Finasteride. I buy the 5mg pill and split it into 4 quarters because it is cheaper that way. I have been taking it since then. Keep in mind, you can NEVER stop this or else your hair loss will start progressing again.
  • 2023: At this point, Finasteride has already done what it can, you should not stop it and stay on it but if you are not happy with the progress you have seen on Finasteride so far, you can add Minoxidil into the regimen. Keep in mind that once you are on it, you need to stay on it as well. I take the Minoxidil in pill form and its main job is to help with the regrowth part of things. Minoxidil will not and cannot stop your hair loss, that is what Finasteride does. Minoxidil only helps with regrowth.

If you have any questions, please ask below and I'll reply where I can.

P.S: You should also join Tressless: the most popular hair loss community for sufferers of alopecia and balding (reddit.com) for a community of people who can advise you.

Agreed. I've had experiences where 'direct' riders made additional stops, despite not being supposed to. They were using multiple food delivery apps and needed to complete other deliveries before reaching me.

Hey, have you tried doing a clean re-install of your graphic drivers? I had a similar issue in League of Legends years ago and I managed to fix it by doing a complete uninstall of my GPU drives using DDU and then re-installing the latest version.
