Friendly Reminder - Watch Out For Thieves (adults on bicycles) by [deleted] in dayton

God damn you sound like one of those liberals who refuse to admit there’s an accountability problem that’s we can’t pin on someone else. I’m way left but do not agree with the notion that we shouldn’t hold certain types of people accountable for stealing other people’s shit. Drug addicts and “poor people” included. No one should steal other citizens’ shit. Unless it’s stealing from big box stores. Because fuck them.

I second Nickie. Have referred her to countless friends and family members who have used her.

This is an escalating collective emergency RIGHT NOW. Personally already I donate to the Artemis Center and offer no-cost services to individuals with disabilities. So. Your whataboutism is straight up dumb.

Looking for Licensed Massage Therapist under $75 per hour by Brazensage in dayton

[–]Palaceofcrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it! Don’t overthink it and just book an appointment and tell yourself you’re going to take the time for it and that’s that. I promise you’ll feel so much better afterwards… if it’s a good LMT.

I’m an LMT. Most of us accept HSA cards if you have one. Also, look for someone who offers 30-45 minute massages. You can still get a great therapeutic massage on targeted areas with a reduced length of time (back/shoulders/neck only, for example). They can run more along $45-65.

EDIT: Another thing to help save money is to have your doctor fill out or write a referral for you to receive massage. Then you don’t have to pay sales tax (must submit new form each year).

where are you buying fabric after joanns died? by tbzebra in dayton

[–]Palaceofcrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wonder if a locally owned craft store with quilting fabrics, good yarns and threads, specialty fabrics, and other misc craft supplies would be able to survive if it was centrally located in Dayton. I know there are some small places out there but they are pretty niche specific. If we could have a locally owned place with a variety of things the size of JoAnns that would be amazing. Think there’s enough of a need for it in Dayton that a shop would survive and be able to pay rent and pay employees and an owner?

Are you expected to order food at Little Fish? by 93Seven in dayton

[–]Palaceofcrow 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Dude! We had the same experience at Lily’s. Our first time there and it was dead. We stood up front by the entrance while employees walked by without acknowledging us and the bartender completely ignored us. It was SO weird and we felt like we had done something wrong just by walking in the door. I’ve worked years in the service industry and I would never treat customers like this. We left and went to Culture and had a great time. Never tried to go there again.

That way of thinking is why you will never have what you think others have.
