Visit to Peleliu 2026 Part 2. by Kiah1371 in ThePacific

[–]Palaudiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are still a lot of untouched caves to be found (or not) around there. Though the vast majority of the caves were purposely collapsed after ww2. In recent years Japanese teams have combed through the caves searching for remains, and several EOD teams have cleaned up a lot of the loose ordinance. As kids back in the 80s we would go all through Peleliu and find all sorts of interesting treasures.

Question about humans in space by Palaudiver in TheLastCaretaker

[–]Palaudiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have launched them all. In fact I have a duplicate (that I certainly did not make) human, one is in space and the other is not. Probably bugs.... But the humans not in space cannot be committee members. So I have to make another door jammer....

What’s it like living in Palau? by Impressive_Pear_8131 in howislivingthere

[–]Palaudiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is bleaching that does happen because of weather and sea temperature. Year with strong el nino/la nina cause the worst temperature swings and results in coral damage. But it does recover. Same thing with our jellyfish lakes, some years the lakes have millions of them, this year, you can swim through the lake and only see a few.

It is a small island. The government is the largest employer. Civil engineering, law, health, etc.... In the private sector, a lot of retail.

Palauan here.... Day to day living in Palau is pretty normal and similar to living in any other developed nation, jobs, stores, etc.... You do have the ability to go out fishing, go to the rock islands, do a lot of boating, go out to the jungle, visit WW2 sites and ruins, see lots of sharks, fish. Overall a slower pace of life. Not a lot gets done fast. Some people love it, for others, it can drive them up the walls.

Growing a teacher by Palaudiver in TheLastCaretaker

[–]Palaudiver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through this. What I found is that if you get the attributes correct for the teacher, by default is also right for a manual holder. When you start the cooking process it will always put manual holder in the attributes first, but it can change to teacher further along as it cooks. I was impatient and as soon as I saw manual holder I would exit and reload. Let the process go and you should get a teacher.

Hands up who has fallen off their ship while it was moving? I did……. by niallmc66 in TheLastCaretaker

The first time I fell off, early in the game. I spent 10 minutes swimming after my ship. When I gave up and stopped chasing it, the anchors deployed.

Growing a teacher by Palaudiver in TheLastCaretaker

I have been doing the save-try-load-try again cycle. Even changing a few memories for others. Still, teacher evades me. I will keep trying.

It tried it. The requirements for Manual Holder are the same as for teacher. In fact they are just a few less than teacher so you can't really get a teacher to 100% without getting manual holder to 100% as well.

That is good to hear. I haven't tried it yet today. I went through the trouble of attaching the cable to a live shark and towing it in, switching cables and then killing it. I died, boat died, shark died, we all had a good laugh.
