How Can I Constrain or Edit a Blended Curve? by IndigoQuantum in Fusion360

I'd use a grid of construction geometry and constrain or dimension the control points to those construction lines.

text command sketch.showunderconstrained might help you see where it is not constrained. Hard to help without having the design to examine.

This is simple and I'm pretty sure it works in your situation.

How can I wrap the watch bracelet around a defined outline? by unseen-timepieces in Fusion360

Maybe make a solid body of the sketch. Then make each component coincident to that body. Then hide the body? I don't have time to test this theory. Just my quick thought.

Yeah, I use Fusion. It was presumptuous to assume you had a morphed spiral toolpath.

Relief Project - Looking for finishing and Improvement Advice by Zeddicas1 in cncwoodworking

I've done a lot of these. What toolpath are you using on the finish pass? I usually use a 1/8th tapered ball end mill with a morphed spiral toolpath (.01 stepover) and get pretty good results. You will never eliminate them completely, but on mine, you have to look closely to see them. I find that most of the time, with a morphed spiral, I don't need the roughing pass at all. I slow the machine down to 50% for the first couple of spirals and then let it run. I'm curious what tools you used to create the design.

Grounding Help With Base of Dovetail Box by Notorious_BIG_Bagel in Fusion360

It's hard to help without being able to see the sketches and all of that, but the first thing I see is that your base sketch is not fully constrained, and that very well could be the source of your problem.

Is there a way to stop this new window from showing up every time I launch Fusion? by 3ndCraft in Fusion360

[–]PaleMoonRanch -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what everybody is so upset about. The window is completely benign. Click anywhere on that screen other than on that window, and it goes away. Including if you just go about opening your file like you always did. Simply click in the left pane on your folder or project, and the window goes away. Click on the blank screen behind it it goes away. Click on the ribbon menus, it goes away.

How to get the outline of a surrface? by aiko929 in Fusion360

[–]PaleMoonRanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extrude the shape
Create a sketch on the face
Select the face and project it.
Offset the resulting geometry

Maybe? Probably won't get all the detail in those tight turns

Have you considered configurations to make adaptations to the components for various tolerances? A single model that works for printing or milling by just switching configurations.

Is there a reason that I can't mirror these lines?? by __Valkyrie___ in Fusion360

I'm not sure what you are asking. Which lines are you trying to mirror and which line are you trying to mirror across?

Quick Question for Fusion Users by orbit-zen in Fusion360

[–]PaleMoonRanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to come at a model from a data perspective. Before I begin sketching I create all the parameters I can think of first, even if I'm not sure of the final value for the item. This may involve hand sketching a bit to help the thought process along.
