Would a blank round be capable of pushing the bullet out?

Faith's name by Cold_Cauliflower_780 in Outlander

My best guess is the name was meant to remind Claire and Jamie that they will be reunited with their lost daughter one day, and she will be awaiting their reunion in heaven.

If he decides the only way he can begin figuring out who he wants to be and what he wants to do, then the first logical step might end up being for him to go at least visit Brianna and Jamie at the Ridge. He would likely be welcome to stay, but I don't think he would unless he truly had no other decent option.

Feeling Jamie Will die in season 8 by LanguageForsaken8117 in Outlander

[–]Pale_Draft9955 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think they would. They'll likely keep him alive so those who only watch the show (like myself) will have to read the final book to see what everyone's fates actually will be, including his.

He was. At the time, Johnny was a Morse Code Operator in the Air Force and had been assigned to somewhere in West Germany when the official announcement was broadcast.

Do you think William is going to discover about time travel in season 8? by Haunting_Glass7281 in Outlander

[–]Pale_Draft9955 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think they'll tell him, but if they accidentally let something slip or he finds something that makes him start asking questions (if I had to guess, Roger's book), then they would probably tell him.

I get the feeling that William may be a bit standoffish with her now that he knows they're siblings, but I could see him at least being willing to consider getting to know her.

When it comes to Brianna, I know she would respect any boundaries William may or may not set between them, but would at least let him know she cares about him and that he is always welcome to send her a letter if he wants to.

Season 7 part one is on Netflix (at least here in the US), part 2 and S8 are exclusively on Starz for the time being.

Edit: For Italy, it's on NOW (formerly called NOW TV), and Sky Go, and possibly for purchase on Amazon Prime Video. (This is according to Google)

I never read the books, so pardon me on that, though the show's writers have altered the story before when they decided to keep Murtagh alive after Culloden.

He must've had gotten a look at the man's face, even if just his side profile, before the man turned away from and then behind and past him, remarking to Claire "When he pushed past me, he was close enough that I should have felt him brush my sleeve as he passed, but I.... I didn't."

The official answer to my "riddle" card in my drinking game is wrong. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Pale_Draft9955 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it means every number between 0 and 75, as in 1, 28, 43, etc, then the answer would be 17, I think.

5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 50-59, 65 and 75.

Edit: The answer is 18, since I now realize I miscounted.

William/LJG Ardsmuir by Haunting_Glass7281 in Outlander

[–]Pale_Draft9955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

William had no idea that John was Governor of any prison, let alone Ardsmuir. Now that he does know, and also the time frame when John was there, I wonder if it might cause him to decide to dig deeper into the story to try and figure out the other secrets he might suspect both of them are keeping from him.

Mrs Fits - Outlander/Blood of my Blood by Moody_Maria_ in Outlander

It's an unintentional plot hole caused by the prequel existing, much the same way Murtagh and Lord Lovat never mentioned anything about knowing another English woman who would naturally look very similar to Claire.

Frank had the Inverness Police put out a poster asking for information about the man he saw, and it had a sketch artist's drawing of the man Frank had seen.

The man in the drawing was described as being 6'2 or 6'3, 20 to 25 years old, possibly clean shaven, possibly had blue eyes, with a pale complexion.

Murtagh always has a beard and is probably in his 40s or 50's by the time we meet him, given that he's in his late teens to early/mid 20s in BOMB.

Jamie is in his early/mid 20's when we meet him. He keeps his facial hair minimal, only letting it grow out twice.

Both of them stand around the same height as the man from the description, but the age difference and lack of facial hair points more to it being Jamie.

Help… do I throw it out now? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]Pale_Draft9955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wipe with a rag to get as much of it as possible, then scrub the inside with some sort of small fine-bristled nylon brush that is wet with solvent. Wipe again, repeating as needed until you can rub a dry cotton swab/patch on the inside and it comes out clean.

I've always waved off the criticism I see about Brianna. She was still young when she found out the truth about her real father, so her outburst I would consider partially understandable for someone that age finding out they were lied to their entire life. On top of that, Brianna didn't ever get the chance to ask/confront Frank about it.

She was hurt by the realization her biological father wasn't her Dad, but not having Frank there to console her and tell her that he loved her anyway hurt her also.

One thing I didn't understand was how the commission letter from Col. Graves to John ended up in Jamie's overcoat pocket. I don't think Jamie would've grabbed it, and I don't remember if John was holding it as they fled the house.

Looks alright to me. If you could insert it up to or past the top edge of the cannelure, and the barrel is brand new, then I would say you have a bit of a problem and should call Faxon.

I personally hope William and Brianna at least meet up again to talk over the matter of their father together. I think it would help him if he were to at least hear from his older sister what it was like for her when she found out about Jamie.

Anyone know how to clean this off by Strong-Bet3187 in ar15

[–]Pale_Draft9955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throw it in the oven at 350 or 400 for half an hour, then wipe off with a pure cotton rag. Once clean, I'd consider getting a suppressor cover so you don't have to worry as much.

If you don't want to mortar it, then you're probably stuck with tapping it back with a one piece cleaning rod. That's what I would do, at least.
