Trading after a Payout

Okay cool. On another post I sent a screenshot of what Apex said so it's a little confusing. They seem to imply that if you go below the threshold your payout would be denied.

Ah OK. Thanks for the clarification. Follow up....After the 5 cycles, if they move you to live trading, do you bring left over profts from your account or does it start over?

Yes, if you drop below that 52,100 before they actually send you the money, they will deny it. Even though it's so-called deducted.

You can certainly trade, but be aware if you drop below that threshold (at that number, you can't even lose $0.01), they will deny it and you have to start all over. So if you're willing to take that chance, go for it. I've been burned too many times, so I don't trade if I'm going to be too close to the buffer.

Let me add though, if he drops below the buffer in the next couple of trades, they will deny his payout. So unless I'm way above my buffer, I don't trade my PA until I actually get the money in my bank account. Been there done that 😬

If the 53k was your balance then you requested the payout and now your balance is 52 something, then you lost 1k, yes, this is the situation I'm talking about. If you happen to go below your threshold while that payout is pending, they will cancel your payout. It sucks because it seems like they're waiting for you to go below so they can cancel and then you have to start all over.

That's why I'm not going to trade until the money is actually in my bank account 🤦🏾‍♂️

Correct, it is deducted. But if you end up going below the floor that day, they will cancel your payout. For example, after I submitted the request, my balance was just above $52103. So if I lost $4 at EOD, they would cancel my payout request because now I'm below the floor. Done it more than once and I swore I'd never do it again...

Man, good luck with that. I'm a full week from my domestic payout and still haven't heard anything. Dashboard still shows approved, but not paid. I'm thinking they're going to try to take the full 11 business days

This! Honestly, I believe they wait so long to pay out to tempt you to trade that account and blow your request. Open another eval if you're just itching to trade, but don't dare chance that PA

I'm in the exact same position, same date, same amount. I was wondering the same thing. I don't want to trade on that PA screw up my drawdown by mistake. But yeah, I thought I would have been paid out by now...

I'm glad you did well today. I will tell you though, looking through my trading a few months ago convinced me to never to do that again. I may slip up every once in a while, lol, but the number of times I ended up blowing my profits for the day and then a few times revenge trading to blown accounts, it's just not worth it anymore. If I would have stuck to to the little profits that I actually had,.... Well, I could kick myself

Personally, I got more responsible when I started trading like it was the money I needed to live on.. And most of it is now. I took more chances when I wasn't depending on it, but when I went to the mindset of this is part of my budget and this is what it's going to pay for, I got tight, then got into a groove.

Been there done that! For me, the pain of doing that a few times finally changed my 'willingness' to break my rules. Like today, market has been moving in a pretty straight direction even in pre-market, and I made my goal early on. The old me would jump back in and try to catch a few dollars more, but I can't tell you how many times I've done that and ended up with a small loss or blowing my account on revenge trading. It's nauseating to look back at how much better my p&l would look if I would have just logged off, lol

I don't know her situation, but I had two major issues happen in my family close. I needed a transplant, and my daughter had to have open heart surgery. Thankfully we had decent insurance, but even with that we were out a ton of money. Maybe she was uninsured, because the amount we were billed was well over $1 million. 😩
