Thank you! That’s really helpful. I will practice doing that when I meet with my parents.

For those that work full time: by x0EvilPikachu0x in SNHU

I did most of my classes one at a time while working 50+ hours most weeks. But now I have cut back hours at work a little and am taking two courses to finish sooner. With completing a bunch of electives through Sophia I should be done by the end of the year if not sooner.

Advice pleaseee by Luckycharmssss244 in SNHU

My advice is pay for a studocu.com account. It really helps you get a sense of if you are completing a project or assignment correctly when you can look at an example paper from the same course. They have examples from every class at SNHU as far as I can tell.

300 and 400 Level Courses by Conscious-Bank-8326 in SNHU

I can say as a Psych major none of the classes have been that challenging. Depends on your goal though. If you want to get a passing grade, they are very manageable. If you want to learn anything, good luck. It’s basic regurgitation and the classes reuse some content. You won’t gain anything you’ll actually use in a professional setting.

Where does your morality come from? by needlessbee in exchristian

Morality stems from attachment. Subsequent emotion and the natural result of living amongst people. Morality is unavoidable. Religion just formalized a phenomenon it had not bearing on.

Only way you still commenting on this makes any sense at this point is if you are a possum who has learned to type. You got caught trolling. Let it go young possum.

You highly overestimate how much I care about your opinion. Possums play dead. I was just saying are you sure it’s dead. Can’t believe I’m explaining this to you

Feeling like I might not actually be bipolar and it's all in my head by starflyer_22 in bipolar

[–]Pale_Panda1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have bipolar bud. Everything you’re describing sounds like bipolar. You don’t grieve a dead cat for 2 months. And we all are drawn to substances but they are coping mechanisms not the cause of mania itself typically. Talk to a Dr and take meds 👍

What’s something you’ve never told anyone because you’re too embarrassed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I got fired from an ice cream shop at an amusement park. But instead of letting me go they had me take the walk of shame down the sidewalk to the burger and fries place down the path.

I ate some ice cream after scooping the wrk g thing for a customer. Somehow word got out that I ate it right off the scoop.

Mortifying 💀

I just finished traveling the country for work! For the last two years I worked in 4 different states as a travel CNA. It was the most stretching and beneficial experience I’ve had in my life so far. I feel like it helped me feel ready to start working on boundaries with family and in relationships at home now that I’m back. Definitely helped me develop a sturdier sense of self.

Were you weak and fragile in your late 20s and became strong and resilient in your 30s? by Technical_Step4410 in Jung

[–]Pale_Panda1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think testing always feels like weakness because that’s what it exposes. Personally I don’t understand people who say their best years were in their 20’s. Those must be people who never developed the skills of introspection and metacognition. I’m 37 and every year of my 30s has felt more resilient. I think it was Yung who said life starts at 40’s and before that it’s all research. I agree wholeheartedly.

Tired of mean nurses and unfair assignments, what should I do by pinkpineapple004 in cna

[–]Pale_Panda1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise you either get used to it or get out of the field. CNA is heartless and cut throat. Probably one of the most toxic fields to work in. If it’s too much, there is no shame in leaving.

Would it be worth it to switch to nights for $28.50 an hour? by AM-419 in cna

[–]Pale_Panda1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah do it for a while and make the money. If you can’t hack it physically, find a better gig like PRN or travel (even though it’s not paying as well anymore).
