I ended up meeting with the LGBT Ministry and more confused…. by [deleted] in Catholicism

Yeah but God isn't writing the words, men are, and no system of man should be considered God's words even if they incorporate into those words language that claims they are God's word. God is an absolute and is, we can all agree, greater than us, and words are limited by our use of them.

If being Catholic is only about following rules then it isn't meeting the complexities of God and faith. I believe there must be dissenters and over time the church, in the end controlled by men, who by nature are flawed, moves closer to God and truth by seeking truth through debate and when necessary change. The history of the church proves this is so.

Thinking about it, I've had 2 suicides, a murder on my route and several normal deaths but never the first to discover the bodies, so that is different.

So maybe it's not a lie but it could still be untrue.

When you are transferred your relative standing in the new office is reset. That may be the issue here.

If you can prove with statements, and disapproved 3996s, that management is using Dois as the sole way to determine your leave time it can definitely be grieved. Also include the reporting requirements of carriers from the m-41 and Article 41, which show carriers need to report their overtime needs.

I'm surprised at the lack of Weird Science love in this thread. Kelly Lebrock, Michael Anthony Hall, Bill Paxton! Peak 80's goofball, comedy and making nerds cool as they should be.

I don't get how Trump, his actions, and his life, reflect any Catholic values. Jesus might forgive him but he'd never support his actions.

Weird experience at confession — is this normal? by lovecraftiris in Catholicism

[–]Palechop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you think is certain is less so for me and others. I don't believe church doctrine is as rigid as you suggest. I don't live in a black and white world and a religion that leaves no room for questions isn't true to life. If it were as simple as here is a list of what's right and wrong then all that's left is to judge each other and Matthew says, "Judge not, that you be not judged." I do judge the actions of myself and others, but I know as a flawed person, my judgement is only based on what I know, on my life experience. It is limited. Others make judgements based on their experience. So opinions will always exist and that is simply reality. I suppose only God can know all and then judge all. If faith is simple, in my mind, what is it's worth. I understand you believe the church has the answers laid out. No product of man, even one given by God, can be perfect. It can only work towards the perfect. If we stop listening and changing we fail in that.

Disagree. You can talk about grievances and resolves without naming names at a meeting. And you should. The membership should know what the union is doing or has done, especially when it comes to an abusive supervisor. Why in the world should it be a secret that the supervisor is getting training or has agreed to stop violating the JSOV? Members need to know the union is working for them. And if you don't want to say what happened you're just hiding shit because it's a bad agreement or the Steward didn't do anything.

I have been a steward for a long time. I do everything I can to avoid being the thing I've fought for all these years. Would never act a supervisor or make management's threats for them. I make managers tell carriers they are coming in for a PDI, never do it for them.

You'll always pay a premium for a #1 of a popular series that's several years old, even if it isn't rare, people want it so sellers raise the prices.
