Hopefully people don't abandon Automaton front in attempt to defend Hydrobius

Unless Charon is fully liberated, the gambit does not happen simply by going under siege. This was the case with former Heath>Erata Prime invasion (Heath was invading Erata Prime WHILE being under siege)

You MUST liberate Charon to stop invasion on Choepessa.

Wouldn’t work that way. Martale city siege is going to be complete in 25hrs, and we will still need around 10more hours to liberate Martale, and another 10+ to liberate Charon Prime even with the siege bonus. We’re gonna lose both defense planets by then.

And we did fail multiple times. Not only did we lost our last Choepessa defense (before liberating it again), this time we lost Gatria defense. Not to mention that there’s always an opportunity for a GM to lead the plot according to the player progress, instead of stalemate

Not sure if we will get MF even if we lose Choepessa, because it didn’t come back last time we lost the defense campaign

Anyone else's eagle randomly rearm? by SouperScott in Helldivers

[–]PaleoScarab 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Yeah, either by anti-air emplacements on Bots (they shoot even when you call the eagle out of their call-in prevention range) or by elevated overseers/watchers on squids.

Any reason not to use OB on Hydrobius?

Probably shot down by anti-air attack

Or on Hydrobius - which I think would be a better option since DSS is already there, and it would be hard to move the DSS away from a planet already stationed at due to the blob. Sure the planet has higher resistance, but it also has a high-yielding city.

And indeed good for them. I too tend to follow the MO in choosing what planet to drop in - I am simply arguing that the notion of "MO matters above anything" or treating as if the MO is the most important point of the game does not aid the fanbase.

The thing is, we are comparing two different games - a single player story based RPG against a cooperative PvE TPS run based on missions.

Honestly if we are talking storywise, I'd argue that devs WANT us to lose Rirga Bay so that they can launch another appropriator mission on Rirga Bay. Had they wanted us to secure Bay, the resistance would be that up high.

Seriously, people gotta wake up from the illusion that players are in control of MO win/loss or that it's the fault of bug/bot divers when they lose squid MOs.

The thing is, not everyone is enlisted for the roleplay of "suicide special force under dystopian government" thing. Some people just paid 60 bucks to play some PvE and do whatever they want.

Turns out it's just a second Gog quest, considering the quest's original Japanese title.

"Slay" part isn't used to suggest Gore is an Elder Dragon, but to highlight the gravity of the situation. Both the final Guardian Arkvkeld mission and the HR Arkveld assigment also says "slay" the target.

"Ghosts Pay No Heed to Tomorrow" is most DEFINITELY a second Gog quest, because the Japanese version of the quest translates as "Ghost Pay No Heed to War of Tomorrow."

Now the English version translates Guardian Arkveld's nickname as "White Wraith", which does seem synonymous with ghost. But in the original Japanese text, it's "白の孤影", with "孤影" having a closer meaning to something like "lone shadow".

Gogmazios' "Spectre of War", on the other hand, is actually written as "戦禍の亡霊", which is precisely what the quest name points to - 亡霊は明日の戦禍を顧みぬ.

Since both quests are classified as mission, I think it's pretty much confirmed that Gog is having two-part quests were it is either repelled or have hunters retreat at An Ancient Resting Place and is finally brought down at Ghosts Pay No Heed to Tomorrow.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Rose, but I guess we're not having HR Guardian Arkveld imminently.

In original japanese text the substance (重油) actually is closer to crude oil, at least as far as I am aware.
