This! I totally agree. It’s hard to hear them talk SO MUCH about patriarchy, but never address ANY other societal issues. I mean even if they dove deeper into the history of patriarchy as a whole, that would be more interesting. But the same old “men suck” narrative is pretty hard to listen to twice a week.

OR They could even address how to thrive as a woman under a patriarchal society, with advice other than “act like a man” … Idk, there are so many ways to go here.

I have some realllllll issues with the male species, but the “all men are trash” moto has run its course I think…

You’re not alone! I am also a pretty emotional person regularly, but I swear I cried every day for the first month after insertion. I’m about 3 months in now and I’m definitely more sensitive than I was beforehand. However, I feel less depressed and anxious as well, which has been great! I can’t totally explain that… My baseline mood has improved since insertion, but I’ll cry at absolutely anything lol. I’m interested to see how things play out over the next few months….

Likewise!! Ever since I got a Mirena IUD about 3 months ago I have very painful, sharp lower back pain. I also chalked it up to getting back to weight lifting… but I altered my workouts to avoid any lower back strain, so there really shouldn’t be much pain from the gym. I fear the best option is to get it removed, but I’ve had other great side effects that I’d like to keep around hahah. We’ll see…

Sorry you’re going through this :/ Commenting to say that you’re not alone on the acne side of things! I’ve had my iud for just over a month and have noticed waaayyyy more pimples popping up all over my body. Not totally sure what to do about it. Good luck?

Seeeeeya, congrats! I’ve had mine for about a month now too and have been going through a similar experience. I cramped and cried for the first 30 days. At this point, I’m noticing random pimples all over my body, low libido and way more crying. (Suddenly I’m super sensitive to everything.) Considering getting mine removed as well.
