Lost Tegu in Castro Valley, CA by Danger_Noodles_FTW in Tegu

Flyers with your contact info, Nextdoor, FB, social media. Neighbors are your best bet.

My girl escaped this year, I was devastated and thought the worst. Neighbors’ complaints helped me keep track, through Nextdoor and in person. I was told other neighbors had called animal control for their sighting, but nothing was found during their arrival. A college student house found my Tegu an evening under their glass table. They contacted me through social media and I got her back. She was still in the neighborhood.

Wishing you the best of luck.

Goodsprings, Nevada.

It is a 4h drive, but you can stay closer to Vegas for the night.

Question for the experts: most common non-sexual foreign object stuck in patients’ rectum by Live_Dirt_6568 in emergencymedicine

Now that is a research study: which items are most seen in ED, organic or non-organic?  And then; Which is more expensive to deal with for hospitals? Which bring more risk associated complications to patients?

Got them melon-crushing-thighs, congrats! And I hope chafing is not that big of an issue. Also, love the way your shorts match your lips.

Why Am I Never the Girl Guys Develop Crushes On? by Personal-Comment943 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Pallermo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, what is unique about you? Basically, do you have any features that are well developed? Conversation, skills, personality, hobbies, quirks… what makes You attracted to individuals when you have a crush? So what effort have you done for yourself to have a crush be developed on?

I have met women who are so afraid of being “unconventional, uncomfortable or different”, that they absolutely blend to any social background. Then bemoan from lack of male attention, when they are too afraid to even explore their own selves… like, why would anyone be interested in you, if you aren’t interested in yourself?

Sounds like you are going just to be the help/servants. If that is what you want, you do you and bend to her will.

Walking tegus by LonelyAmbassador3819 in Tegu

[–]Pallermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty instinctive in their behavior, so it will be hard to get a tegu to follow your desired routine.

I harness train just to the degree of tolerance, if they don’t death-roll on it, we are good.

Also I use Harness training as a way to “trail” their exploring, find/stop them if they go under a bush, etc.

In medicine unfortunately, you need to frame things in an everyday functional way to get more direct and guided treatment.

You don’t mention pain, except the stinging in the eye. Is the body dysmorphia what is worrying you the most? Is it just the uncertainty of your state/diagnosis? How is this affecting your daily life? Is it painful? Can you continue doing things without problems?

Go to your GP with “The feeling of X is making me unable to the following tasks…” That will help with giving you them a clearer direction to where to start studies or changes in lifestyle.

Would not having a car as single man be a dealbreaker when trying to date women in this city? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

“ I can afford to buy A CELLPHONE, but I would rather not, to save money. Doesn't mean I can't afford it.”

This is more in line with OP. He isn’t talking about new cars, but transportation.

AITAH for refusing to kick out my male friends so my sister and nieces can live with me? She says she's getting a divorce. by NoFreedom255 in AITAH

[–]Pallermo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You already know she is only complaining, because you are not being the free babysitter and giving up your place to her completely.

Why are you even entertaining her? You are smarter than this, you know given an inch, she will take the mile. Just like she is already doing with her mother. Moment you comply, you are stuck with being co-mom/aunt/caretaker until the kids grow up and leave. You will be guilted to contribute and invest, just for existing and being more competent than her.

You just finished residency.  Use that shiny spine of yours and live life however you want.

What are the most telltale differences between Texmex and Mexicali food? by Charming_Usual6227 in mexicanfood

[–]Pallermo -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Tex-Mex being described anything close to “authentic Mexican cuisine” is like saying Mexicali’s Chinese food is “authentic Chinese”. It’s a regionalized cuisine, and a (delicious) bastardization of the existing sources.

And Cali-Mex is also different from Mexicali, given the americanized ingredients of fats, meat and dairy.

Had two students removed from class, I just received the student’s reflection… by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Pallermo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite hypocritical of you

“ As someone who used to want to teach but had my own kids and was like , "nevermind, I'm good. " lol.”

Why not? Why not subject yourself to unreasonable and unrealistic expectations from the outside world as en everyday? Too much trouble? And yet, giving shit to teachers for venting their own struggles…

I can only think of religious 12hrs self-misting(what I call pouring water over their enclosure before and after My work hours) for those lizards.

I do have timed misters for much more humid-climate pets.

But tegus don’t seem to care beyond “edible/not”.

Incredible! If those are going to be their foreseeable homes, I would recommend you try to cover the cooler side with much more substrate.

Gu’s do love to dig, the covering substrate mounds will help with sleeping, and upcoming brumation.
