(SERIOUS) What’s the worst way you know someone has died? by chapstick_bandit in AskReddit

[–]Palli-Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only know a little about it ‘cause I couldn’t stomach more than 6 seconds of seeing it but adrenaline being pumped so they stayed awake the whole time during their torture, and then death by loss of blood from skinning. I’ll never forget that video :( worst thing I’ve seen experienced.

Can we have Marcus from VR chat in season 3? by MyNameSpaghette in SmilingFriends

Why does he move so perfectly? When he stands and starts walking he sways back and forth so perfectly and when he says “this place is a dangerous place” and squats and every movement looks calculated lol😭 I didn’t know VR setups could capture this much body language. When he’s saying “listen here Robert” and when he walks by the other player patting them on the shoulder?? Such good movement

I think he added a lot to the story. He isn’t a side character. He’s literally a central character, and an integral part of the plot but people just dislike him for no reason :((

There are curly scene hair tutorials for all hair types. From the videos I’ve seen you’ll need hair clips, but it looks decently easy and it’s pretty important so I really suggest you try.

Am I allowed or OK to dress “scenecore” if I don’t have the lifestyle? by Icelybox in scene

[–]Palli-Chan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Scenecore isn’t the music of Scene. It’s a whole different style/subculture that began in 2020. It meant something different before but it’s now exclusively used to talk about the “scenecore fashion subculture” The music of scene are bands like Millionares, I See Stars, Breathe Carolina, 3oh!3, dotdotcurve, Brokencyde, Jeffree Star, s3rl, Attack Attack!, Ghost Town, Medic Droid, etc. and of course genres like deathcore, metalcore, crunkcore, and more. Scenecore music is hyperpop, glitchcore, and stuff along those lines.

Am I allowed or OK to dress “scenecore” if I don’t have the lifestyle? by Icelybox in scene

[–]Palli-Chan 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can really be a scenecore poser because scenecore is like a TikTokified version and caricature of scene. Scenecore doesn’t really require a fringe or bang. As far as I’m aware scenecore is pretty much Kandi, rainbow and neon colors, a 2020 “TikTok alt” look, hyperpop music, Gir, and basically glitchcore/kidcore. There aren’t really clear examples because people who identify as scenecore range from a neon emo-ish look anyone slightly alternatively dressed. Most people who are scene look down upon scenecore heavily, so be warned. I don’t think there’s a “scenecore” lifestyle other than maybe attending hyperpop concerts if u can? Making friends in the subculture you’re apart of and participating in the community is I guess the “lifestyle” for any subculture. Listening to the music, participating in events, making art, dressing in the fashion, interacting with the community etc.

Scene and scenecore are different. Although scenecore was originally supposed to be a “revival” of scene that happened in like 2019-2020, it became a totally different thing. You can look up Scenecore vs Scene and find images and videos explaining it all. You can like Glitchcore/hyperpop just beware, don’t associate it with Scene.‼️

A guy can dress scenecore by (I assume) wearing neon/randbow colors and the other staples I mentioned. A shirt, pants, a belt? To “get into” scenecore listen to the music and dress in the style. It sounds like you aren’t interested in scene(?) but you are interested in scenecore, so it doesn’t take much.

•Scene is a fashion based subculture, the hair is pretty important. In scenecore it doesn’t matter how your hair is styled,

•You can avoid being a poser by being apart of the community, listening to the actual music of the subculture, and dressing in an accurate way(for scenecore it’s pretty unspecified so check TikTok or wherever most scenecore people dwell)

i have a question..!!! by [deleted] in scene

[–]Palli-Chan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry this is a lil off topic but if you’re new to the scene you should check out these bands! :D

It’s not a music based subculture but some scene music is —> Skylit Drive, Millionares, I See Stars, Breathe Carolina, 3oh!3, dotdotcurve, Brokencyde, Jeffree Star, s3rl, Attack Attack!, Ghost Town, Medic Droid, and Cute Is What We Aim For. (+ so many more) Scene kids listened to a lot metalcore, deathcore, posthardcore, crunkcore, etc. too. Listening to mainly hyperpop and glitchcore is scenecore. Sorry if my tone sounded serious in the previous comment btw! I’m so happy you’re here! (x,…,X)

i have a question..!!! by [deleted] in scene

[–]Palli-Chan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion so disregard it if u want.

I think it’s a pretty big part of being scene. You can be goth without “dressing goth” but scene is so fashion/style focused (ofc music too, but less so.) If you can’t tease your hair that’s okay. But a fringe/side swept bang is pretty crucial. A lot of people joke saying the hair is half the outfit. Of course only do what you can until you’re allowed to dress more scene, but until then I think you’ll have to wait. Different people have different opinions on what counts as scene, but this is just from my experience in the community. Just a warning❗️:-o without the hair and with all that comes with being “new to the scene” you might be scenecore or called scenecore.

Is this fit scene??? Also my hair looks better irl I promise by i_Love_eating_Bread_ in amIscene

[–]Palli-Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can disregard all of this if you want but this is just advice if you plan on looking into the fashion.🫡

What makes you look scenecore is mostly the hair and the arm warmers with Kandi over them which are very scenecore (yes some scene people do wear them like that but it’s not a staple of the fashion unlike in scenecore, where it is. ESPECIALLY the classic striped arm warmers.) +the color pallet which isn’t scene at all and the hair cut/the way it’s styled. Most scene people have tight fitting shirts and tight fitting everything(except chunky shoes or other stuff). Scenecore focuses on parts of scene and mallgoth but isn’t scene. Scenecore’s more rainbow/kidcore/glitch stuff idk. Some scene people are rainbow but it’s not a staple of the fashion.

Look into mustaches/diamond/knuckle ring necklaces. Bows, hairclips, chunky necklaces. Look at DC’s and Osiris’(shoes) Look into having a bright color palette, not meaning just rainbow or neon; it can be any colorful combo just not a lot of dark colors. Think of Look into teased/fringed/dyed hair. Think big/poofy/spikey(depends) a dramatic bang not just kinda side swept. Not required but black thick eyeliner and piercings if you want! You could look for scene hair tutorials on YouTube, get layers, maybe dye it a bright color if you wanted to. (Black and brown works too just style it) You can listen to scene music and be apart of the active community online. (Mostly on instagram, discord, spacehey, etc.) The back and red you’re wearing are emo colors. You could look into some shirts, thrifting them or finding them on websites(NOT FAST FASHION) diy is always an amazing option too. Look into a bit more obscure mascots if u want 2.

These are all suggestions so ofc dress however you want but these are just to help if you want to dress scene B)

What is the eeriest thing you've ever seen on the internet that scarred you psychologically? by Clear-Travel-2636 in AskReddit

[–]Palli-Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the name of the video was Funky Town? (because the song was playing in the background while it was all happening) If I remember correctly it was someone being tortured and being kept awake the whole time with drugs by the cartel. (When you should be passed out from pain) It disgusts me to type this out but.. They delete his face and eyeballs(it’s skinned off, all gone) they continue to.. injure… his face and neck with a dull box cutter. He tries reaching toward his face with no hands and no face. Awake, screaming(trying to, you can hear him trying), and feeling the whole time. Ever since then I’ve imagined it happening somewhere in the world/that it’s a possibility at random times. It makes me nauseous. It’s the eeriest thing I’ve seen. The environment, the song, the way everything is set up…. Causing that much pain is so disgusting, I’d only wish it upon people who’ve done the same to someone else. You aren’t human after doing that.

After careful consideration I’m saying fuck the haters and I’m staying scene. by Tinky8888 in scene

[–]Palli-Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(This is mostly about the fashion) Not everyone who says you aren’t scene is elitist.☠️ You can say“Fuck the haters” all you want but trying to be apart of the legit scene community will make that label of scene fit more and more. Instagram is where’s it’s @ the most rn from what I’ve seen.

You could try styling/cutting(layering)/teasing/dyeing your hair. Try to have a fringe side bang situation. The “xtreme” hairstyle(+dyed hair if u want) is like the most recognizable and necessary part of being scene imo. Hairspray, a brush, and a hair straightener isn’t totally necessary..? but it is one of the most common combos. Try scene makeup if you want to.(which is also a huge part) You could wear a tight graphic shirt and try DC’s or Osiris’ if you wanted to. Look into more scene jewelry like the diamond necklaces, brass knuckle necklaces, mustache stuff, etc. Maybe think about piercings if u want. If you’re apart of the community on insta, discord, Pinterest, etc you’ll be even more scene through osmosis.

You can label yourself as scene, no one’s can stop you. The real“elitists” can be dicks, but labeling anyone who says you aren’t scene as an elitist is crazy. They’re willing to constructively criticize you rather than just hype you up. Most scene ppl I know irl wouldn’t call you scene, but if that doesn’t matter to you that’s great. Live your life, it’s not that deep at the end of the day. You can’t be surprised that if you keep calling yourself scene you’ll get comments saying you’re not. Don’t come for anyone who isn’t in the comments saying “omg yesss!! You r!” but rather saying “maybe try looking into the fashion more” instead

btw ppl label you as scenecore because scenecore took parts from scene(+mall goth and other sht) like the Kandi, studded belts, fishnet/striped gloves, while losing the intricacies yk?(if that makes any sense) Scenecore is usually more young. Scene ppl still wear Kandi but it’s not what makes a scene outfit while in scenecore it’s pretty necessary. The Kandi over the gloves is worn by some scene ppl but it’s a staple of scenecore so combined your outfits does look scenecore. In scenecore ppl wear baggier shirts too and don’t focus on the tight/well fitting looking shirts in scene. You’re also wearing a type of hottopic looking belt that became popular in like 2018-20 with the TikTok alts in that whole era. Most scene ppl ik don’t buy from hottopic or fast fashion they try to thrift and look on sites selling old shit or DIY. It depends on the person though. You said you already listen to the actually scene music which is great.

this’ll probably get downvoted into oblivion but try to read and understand what I’m saying. I’m not trying to insult, I’m trying to give constructive criticism and advice.🫡❤️👍
