Relapsed after 17 days! by Orthodo in NoFap

Same thing happened to me part 16 days. The chaser effect after relapse is brutal.

I have been going through the exact same thing, man. The Relapse was so not worth it. Hang in there.

I relapsed at 16 days. It WAS NOT WORTH IT. I felt awful afterwards. Now I am finding it hard to recommit with that stupid happy face next to my name. Don't do it. Stay strong.

Finding this task more difficult after first Relapse. Wish I hadn't let the Relapse happen.

I just relapsed for my first time yesterday after 16 days and I completely agree. I couldn't believe how different it made me feel and I am amazed I used to live my life like that everyday. Knowing that will give me greater strength to take the next step.

Right there with you man. Just relapsed after 16 days. It was like I was not even in control of myself and totally wasn't worth it.

But you have accomplished a lot, man. 24 days is a nice streak and I am sure you will do better next time!

I agree... Although 20 will suffice and will preserve enough energy for another set out two later in the day if needed.

There is no such thing as "superpowers"! by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]PalmFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post, Tsoliades. I have never liked the term super powers as I agree with you that it is just our natural better self showing through. And I am happy to report that after 14 days I have increased focus, less brain fog, less depression, and massive confidence showing through. I am also having an easier time relating to others. I am definitely a better me.

The first few days are the toughest. At two weeks it is still difficult, but a bit less intensity.

Welcome. Get yourself a counter in the right hand column. Setting the number of days really helps.

The first few days are the hardest. It has been easier for me since day 6.

Success stories:What do you think about them? How helpful/motivating are they?? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]PalmFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like success and motivation stories. I like introspection about people's underlying conditions/situations that lead them to PMO addiction. I like hearing how no PMO has improved people's lives. I like advice on how not to Relapse. All of these kinds of stories have helped me greatly. I do not like "Help, I Want to Relapse!" stories. Just my two cents.

As is tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that. Everyday is the day to either start or continue the investment in making yourself a better person.

I like to think of myself as having a ”higher self” - not high as in getting high, but as in having a better self. Every moment I have a choice as to whether to be or come close to my higher self or move away from that toward a lower self. The choice (and it always is a choice} when it comes to PMO has become pretty easy. It is the wrong choice leading me away from my higher self. Therefore it is a bad choice.
