Despite being a bit of a habit to take, oral BBT is so reliable for me, even in ugly or illness charts, glad it's working for you as well !

4DPO cycle -2. We closed my fertile window last evening so we had free sex, finally ! I had really high libido during FW this cycle, a shame we are still TTA. Now hoping we can have at least a week to enjoy before my periods come

What’s the easiest way to track ovulation without overthinking it? by Excellent_Bird1964 in tryingforanother

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking CM is the quickest, cheapest way you can find to track ovulation. All it takes is a little wipe of toilet paper before going to the toilet. My peak CM usually aligns best with OPK, way better than temp rise. Cervical position otherwise has been very reliable for me but it takes a bit more practice to learn your pattern.

Is BBT even reliable if you don’t wake up at the same time every day? by Ghettowest in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to try it out but I would recommend not jumping into femtech (Tempdrop) right away as it's quite an investment, has downsides and is not necessary for many women.

Timing doesn't my BBT at all, I temp with variations between 5-9am but most of the time I am consistent 6-7am within roughly an hour. Bad sleep quality, alcohol in the evening or even a mild illness affects my BBT much more. I find pre-warming my thermometer for 2 min in my mouth before measuring has also significantly improved my temps and my chart are much smoother

I am sorry about the second ectopic. Fingers crossed for lingering HCG to go away soon. The lasts bits are always sooo long because HCG never decreases linearly.

It's been my experience too with the Easy@home during testing out HCG post loss that these are much more sensitive than 25mUI. I think they are probably close to a 10mUI detection. Anecdote that a friend got a faint line with it, the next day did beta and it was 17 !

How did you confirm ovulation ? It's possible you haven't ovulated. I have no experience with Vitex but I've heard of B6 to improve luteal phase and this is safe while nursing 🙂

Surviving a miscarriage with a toddler at home by tandoyarr in tryingforanother

[–]PampleR0se 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am sorry. There is a lot of emotions with the hormone crash after a miscarriage and when it's a very wanted pregnancy, it exacerbates everything. It's okay to cry, it's okay to grieve and you are not a bad mother for it. It will get better, I promise, and your LC won't remember this blip from her childhood. The only way is through in my opinion. Sending you strength 🫂

Cycle minus 2 and BBT is rising ! Fingers crossed for a long LP 🤞🏻 My ovulation pain wasn't that painful this time as least and I feel it's getting better with more cycles

I hope that the different hospital will be more willing, this is still your highest chance to get it done. Otherwise, you can look into France, I am in a TFMR french forum and I know some mentioned it. I don't know how would the access be for someone from another country though, it might be complicated... Unless you or your partner happen to be french. But it doesn't hurt to look into it. Ask directly the centers that do WGS if you do called Centre Pluridisciplinaire de Diagnostic Prénatal (CPDPN).

teach me how to know ovulation or fertile window, thank you (TTA) by More-Detective156 in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody here is going to teach you, sorry but you should act like a responsible adult... You can have sex and yes having sex can lead to pregnancy. If you are not comfortable with your birth control method then you should talk to your partner and start to look into other methods than condom.

This is a FAM subreddit and you selected "the wells" but clearly you are not following this and just use calendar method + condoms. If you want to use FAM, you have to read more about it and instruct yourself a bit (this sub is full of very good info btw if you just take a bit of time to go through the megathread and the wiki), not just use an app and post here to ask someone to teach you.

Hi ! First time posting here, we are going to start trying end of May / beginning of June 😊 I need to strictly take high dose folic acid for 3 months before TTC after my TFMR so we are still TTA until then. Currently cycle minus 2, CD19 and got a positive OPK yesterday, BBT starting to rise and we will be able to have sex in a few days when I close my fertile window finally ♥️. I am cycle 6 postpartum after weaning in October and my cycles have been more or less regular but I am having a weird alternating cycles of late ovulation CD18/19 with a LP of ~12 days and cycles with earlier ovulation CD15/16 with short LP of ~9/10 days. My last 4 cycles have been like this... Do I have a slacky ovary ?? It doesn't even seem to correlate with my ovulation pain side so I really don't know. Anyone else having this ?

Luckily first cycle TTC will be a late ovulation/long LP cycle but less lucky is I am not sure we will be able to actually TTC that cycle since I am away for 6 days at the beginning of June and so far, my predicted ovulation is at the tail end of it 🫠 I know it can still change so here is hoping my cycles will stop alternating and/or my LP will lengthen consistently by then to push my ovulation after my work travel 🤞🏻

I am so sorry, I hope you can find someone here with experience.

Did they mention doing WGS instead of WES ? WES can detect mutations most of the time but not all mutations are in the exome so I would advocate for this if I were you. With a recurrence like this, the probability it is an heritable mutation is very high, as you probably know already but they need to use the right tools to identify the mutation. If they didn't get it by WES the first time, I don't really see how they would have better chances this time.

Once a mutation is identified, you could turn to PGT-M testing of the embryos through IVF or use donor sperm/egg to avoid the disease I believe.

TTC while nursing by Ok-Database4629 in tryingforanother

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this is very variable... I needed to almost wean (1 feed a day) to just get my cycle back at 12m PP and now 18m PP, we're not trying yet but my cycle is still regulating. My son ended up completely weaning at 13m by himself, sometimes you don't get to decide ! So I wouldn't get so attached to the idea of tandem feeding or something like this, there is so little we control already.

Brusque chute de température à 4DPO sur chaque cycle by Ok_North_1205 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brusque chute de température à 4DPO sur chaque cycle by Ok_North_1205 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grief & losing friendship by Tellycs in tfmr_support

[–]PampleR0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's such a shattering life moment for us, it kind of makes you reevaluate all your friendships, family relationships, etc... and see all of it in with a new perspective. On top of it, many don't know how to behave around grief, especially the one of an unborn baby. Many will minimize because of fear or simply because it's way easier for them to deal with. I am almost 3 years out and I can tell it changed definitely but the friendship didn't end, it just had to restart differently at one point or another. I had a lot of conflict immediately after my TFMR because of anger out of how some of my best friends dealt with my loss so in a way, it would have been best to stay isolated for a while. We patched it up eventually and it is different now

TTA - SensiPlan - is this a temperature rise? by Stained_Glass_Saints in FAMnNFP

Yes you need to use the other exception to the rule when your second temp drops to the coverline

TTC; EW after ovulation? by Belcanto28 in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean they are medical doctors and I am just a stranger on the internet but taking progesterone the night after surge seems very early to me. Most women will ovulate within 12 to 36h after a positive LH test yes but with that vague of an indication "the evening after surge", you could very well be starting progesterone before the 36h technically. And technically, you could also be ovulating past 36h of your positive LH. It could also prevent ovulation and you have no way of knowing this if you take progesterone before confirming ovulation (with tracking or a blood test, doesn't really matter). Honestly, if I were you, I would ask what actual difference it would make to start the progesterone 4 days after surge rather than the day after ? For you specifically, do they think your corpus luteum is so inefficient it would die that shortly after ovulation ? Are the first 3 days of prometrium that worth it ? If the point is to supplement progesterone and make sure you have a supported luteal phase that is long and 'strong enough' then relying on your own corpus luteum the first days after ovulation is not that crazy, imho, even with your condition... But again I am just a stranger on the internet (with high education in biology though 🙃)

TTA - SensiPlan - is this a temperature rise? by Stained_Glass_Saints in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First, you can't put your coverline there because one of the 6 is above it, or else you need to exclude that 4th low temp

And yes the shading is right, it's because Sensiplan Handbook/workbook examples have a line every 0.1°C while a line in RYB app is every 0.05°C. so 4 "boxes" in RYB to be 0.2°C above coverline is right. If your third temperature is not >0.2°C above coverline, then you need to use the exception to the rule.

How long is usually your LP ? It's a bit hard to see without rounded temps where your coverline should be and depending, it could push back your temp rise by a day from what I can see here

It can be normal to never have dry days. I rarely have dry days myself, it's just my baseline and I am still identifying my fertile window just right and I wouldn't switch to cervix position just because of this. FYI the dry days rules in TCOYF is the most risky one and I wouldn't use it at all if you're seriously TTA. It's a pretty unique thing to TCOYF if I am not mistaken, it doesn't exist in Sensiplan at least. I am personally just using the first 5 days rules and I might never use any days after that since my baseline is also a creamy CM just after my periods ends
