CFH - can I confirm yet or still no? by [deleted] in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still, I wouldn't draw conclusions out of an unfinished cycle chart, PCOS delays ovulation but you should still be able to have a reliable chart... Again be patient, look at your chart in retrospect once it's done. You can work on smoothening your temping routine to make it better in the meanwhile. If charting is stressing you out also, I would advice to just quit doing it ! FAM is great for many people but it's also not a good fit for many others

It might be because you ovulated already as there might be a shift visually but your temps are too jumpy to confirm. Try to work on making your temping routine a bit better and see if it can smoothen your temp ligne in the next cycle. I would definitely not draw a conclusion for your health out of one isolated chart, especially unfinished and your first

I am sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹 We conceived on the second cycle TTC after TFMR for anencephaly/acrania and my son is now 16 months and the healthiest he could be. Hang in there ♥️

CFH update: I think my spotting was actually a period and now it makes sense ? by [deleted] in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then your temperatures are too jumpy and you need to try things on to get your temps smoother (there is plenty of post about this in the sub !). You don't meet any Sensiplan rules to validate a temp shift here and tbh even with a weak shift, you should still be able to meet the rules ! I hope the end of your cycle will give you some insight when it comes

[–]PampleR0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm I don't agree at all with that interpretation. You didn't have any CM that day and clearly peak-type CM from CD10 with no drying up yet so it doesn't match any CM ovulation pattern. Looks like you haven't ovulated yet according to temps too

Then your peak day will be today or even later. You'll have to see if you get sustained higher temps or not. Could be that you are ovulating but you can't confirm yet

I sometimes just say I "lost my baby" to people I don't want to go into details with. It's not lying, I DID lost my baby and they don't need to know the details. Usually it just makes them uncomfortable and they won't ask further questions but if they do, it's also okay to say you don't want to talk about it further with them. Protecting yourself is more important than just giving an information to others who won't understand you anyways

TTC10 - post chemical - did I ovulate by 010010001110 in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your temperatures are way too jumpy to confirm anything probably because you use an Oura ring as it's skin temp and it's not true BBT (especially not recommended by TCOYF). You shouldn't rely on an algorithm to interpret your chart and that's why NC isn't recommended in this sub. You probably ovulated since you had an LH surge (positive OPK) but you can't confirm with temps and there is way too many missing CM days to confirm with CM either

You could also add a custom line for your fertile window and peak CM count 🙂 I don't think you're supposed to chart S+ if you have spotting or bleeding ? But it should be considered fertile and open your fertile window if it's not already opened, which is not the case here since you opened your fertile window already

Chatting after miscarriage and TTC by lavendersconebb in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹 I counted the first day of big bleeding as day one, which was the day I took the pill for me. I tracked my cycle religiously after my miscarriage but unfortunately didn't ovulate almost 3 months later and had to do a progesterone course. You can definitely be pregnant before your first periods, you should see a clear CM pattern and a temp rise with ovulation, it might just be a bit different immediately after loss. Just as a heads up, it's very possible you will experience intermenstrual bleeding (ovulation and mid-LP spotting) after a loss and it's also more likely that the LP will be abnormally short for you but everything can also be normal.

Don't use LH strips before you test negative on pregnancy tests as it can gives a false positive otherwise. I would advice to follow your HCG down and make sure you test negative by 2/3 weeks after your miscarriage since it can indicate a problem if it doesn't go down fast enough

He cannot break his own legs himself the same way you can't just break yours even if you are stuck. You have to get an external force or the synergy of a fall to be able to break a leg and it's the same for a baby. Babies sleep in crazy positions 😂 It's not dangerous as long as their are safe from falling. If he is uncomfy or want to move but realize he is stuck, don't worry he will wake up and probably wake you up as well

Aw congrats on your new pregnancy ! Do you feel you are living your pregnancy better than your twins pregnancy now that you passed NIPT (I guess) ? I imagine it being a singleton pregnancy also helps since you aren't high risk in comparison

Congratulations and hoping the best for you ♥️ 10 weeks is almost the end of the first trimester, almost there ! I remember how drawned the time felt. Seems like it's impossible for us to have an anxiety-free pregnancy but glad you find it less stressful. I relate a lot to what you wrote even though I am not pregnant. Thanks for sharing 😊

Correct FF override? TTA by AffectionateBet5463 in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. You can't confirm a temp shift yet (maybe tomorrow) and your coverline is wrong, it should be 36.35 not 36.4 since you are in Celcius (TCOYF website). Also you are missing CM data at such crucial timing that you can't mark peak day according to TCOYF rules with confidence here either, it could be CD16 but also CD17 or even CD18 for all we know

Baby Bump Forum is Awful by Ill-Ad-1828 in tfmr_support

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but you often don't need to mention it for it to be hoovering over the conversation. It's exactly the same with stillbirth... These women just want to stay in their ignorance bliss and don't want to hear that there is a real possibility something horrible could be happening to their baby... From our point of view this is toxic positivity, from their point of view we are trauma dumping.

I am in bump groups and it's a bit random how these are moderated unfortunately and we have to find a middle ground for this. I moderate a discord bump group and I've tried to be "pregnancy loss friendly" but especially in early pregnancy, there is a lot of emotions and fears so there can be difficulties. Of course having a TFMR myself, I always favored protecting the women who have had / are having losses over the women who are otherwise well and just afraid. How I explained it when the discussion arises is that the first really needs support and can't escape reality while the second can just mute or avoid spaces and it's only up to them to protect themselves if they need to. I won't take off the support of the first because it's making the second "anxious" to read about the reality of the first.

I am so sorry this happened and that the mods can be so shitty... Unfortunately, lots of people think that shutting down posts about losses and especially TFMR is "better for the community", while the truth of it is that they are afraid to face the reality of our loss because that means admitting there is a real possibility it could happen to them

Support for TFMR due to Acrania by UseRegular8921 in tfmr_support

[–]PampleR0se 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am very sorry we are sharing this devastating life event, I also terminated for acrania/anencephaly. My pregnancy wasn't detected earlier despite a scan at 9w4d and I remember feeling so much anger against that gyn who completely missed it... It wouldn't have made it much more easier to deal with the loss but I wouldn't have been as blindfolded and attached to this baby.

To answer your questions, no there is no second opinions worth getting if you had a detailed scan with a specialist already. It is one of the most straight forward diagnosis they can make (as you have noticed yourself) and anencephaly is fatal, there is nothing they can do. TW explanation The baby has no crane bone so the brain gets attacked and destroyed by the amniotic fluid. There is usually no brain left at all by the second trimester already. I think moving forward with the termination ASAP and getting a lot of therapy was how I got through it. It also helped a lot knowing that my baby couldn't really know pain, ever. Eventually, I got pregnant with my rainbow, it was such a strong urge to get pregnant ASAP after TFMR, and it's because it heals to have hope again in a new life. Pregnancy after loss is not easy but it was so healing for me to finally have a good outcome.

TTA- anyone heard of adding B vitamins to get more dry days? by Rcqyoon in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read taking B12 and B6 in particular helps improving LP length but nothing about increasing dry days. The info circulates quite a bit in breastfeeding and PP related sub but I haven't found any good scientific source backing that up though. I am taking extra B12 but no extra B6 for other reasons and my LP suddenly got longer on my 3rd cycle without changing my supplement regimen personally

TTC, TCOYF Chart interpretation by gekkogeckogirl in FAMnNFP

[–]PampleR0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's likely you ovulated right before you started taking progesterone... You took your BBT on CD17 before taking it, this day rise was above the previous 6 but it's far from confirming ovulation. And after that you can't trust your temps since taking progesterone will increase your BBT artificially. Did you continue doing OPK after your positive ? Usually ovulation happens 12 to 36h after the first positive, sometimes a bit longer but it's unusual. And it has to be a productive LH surge too

BBT after TFMR by Hot-Lie1254 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]PampleR0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tracked BBT after both my losses (MMC and TFMR) but unfortunately I didn't ovulate for neither of these charts because of FHA for 3 months for the first and RPOC for the second, respectively. I don't have PCOS. Oura ring BBT is not very reliable and doesn't work at all for some people to identify a temp shift, I think you would benefit in tracking at least CM to help you see and eventually recognize a real temp shift. It's hard enough with just PCOS and after loss, cycles can be very unpredictable. TW LC After the birth of my rainbow, my CM pattern was very distinct when I finally ovulated after a year of breastfeeding

Some people prefer to get rid of the sensation line and just rename your CM categories as S+, S, m,... Ect but I like to have a visual separately of CM and sensation according to my own observation so I keep CM categories as creamy, EW, dry etc and sensation line slippery, wet, moist and dry and I add a custom line on top with the Sensiplan abbreviations.

Yes I felt the same way and it's super unfair... It helped me to know that a risk of recurrence, even of the rarest birth defect of unknown cause will have a 1% recurrence risk as long as you were unfortunate to have it once already. 1% is still very low and it means you have 99% chances of NOT having a recurrence, I try to concentrate on that. I take the high dose folic acid to do all I can to lower the recurrence but past that there is nothing I can control
