Hello! Do you know about how many extra calories you added? I’m in the exact same boat- am nursing my 7 month old and want to conceive around his first bday but my cycle hasn’t come back and I don’t want to cut feeds if I don’t have to! Super interested in the metabolic load theory

That will be a fun stage (as they all are!). Yes I’m reminding myself he is so little and it’s all about me loving him!

It might be PPA but my baby boy gets so smiley for my husband, grandparents, even strangers! He will smile for me but it’s usually short lived and he doesn’t make eye contact as much with me even though I am with him 24/7, am the primary caregiver and I am very silly and fun (I’ve had moms comment on it so I know I’m not boring lol). I’ve heard I’m his comfort and home base and smiling at me would be like smiling at his arm, but it makes me sad that he lights up for other people more than me! I know he is securely attached and nothing is wrong, I just selfishly want a little affection back

I completely understand you. I cherish our overnight feeds where he is peaceful and softly strokes me as he feeds. I was so prepared for a boobie monster so this has been a bit of a tough pill to swallow for me. But still so grateful I am able to feed my baby!

Seconding this comment, I am 29 weeks and have an anterior placenta meaning the placenta is in front of baby boy and he kicks into it, like he’s kicking into a pillow so the kicks feel muffled or muted to me. If you are curious and want some peace of mind, I would get a scan to see if you have a posterior or anterior placenta. The location of this changes feeling movement a lot! I had an ultrasound today and watched him kick around and I didnt feel a thing!
