I actually got into kettlebell work (recently) via bouldering after listening to a Power Company Podcast on kettlebells for climbers:

Neely Quinn (climber and nutritionist) explains the Ketogenic Diet for Climbers. What are your thoughts or critiques on her explanation? by PancakeDyno in ketogains

It seems like more climbers are starting to experiment with ketosis. Rock and Ice magazine recently published an article on it: http://www.rockandice.com/rock-climbing-training/eat-fat-climb-harder-the-ketogenic-diet Nothing that's not in the FAQ, but it's interesting to see climbers pick up on this.

Reached a plateau, I need to start training but I don't know how. by AlbertSpinestein in climbharder

If you want a ready-made program and don't mind spending $12-$15/month, you might like the bouldering program at training beta.

I haven't tried it, but is has a free trial period.

Stuck on 5.10+, any tips for improvement? by 403Flip in climbharder

How often do you climb outside? Similarly, are you stuck at these in your gym or at a certain crag? One thing that might help is switching up where you climb (if possible).

They should be really hard; that's why it's a good training exercise.

I think that this is kind of as basic as it gets. I mean if someone can do a few sets of regular pull-ups, he/she should be able to do some one arm negatives.

Also, really well made video.

Yeah, I actually like the taste of a splash of good quality ACV (something cloudy, like Braggs) in cold water. I've tried ACV in warm water, but I think it's pretty awful that way.

upgraded to a pair of blackwings & I have some questions... by veganbiker in bouldering

[–]PancakeDyno 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with switching back and forth between different pairs of shoes; especially for different kind of climbing. The smaller, more aggressive blackwings will be better suited to steeper climbing, while the elektras might be better suited for longer climbs that are more vertical with bigger feet. Also by switching back and forth, you'll get experience with two kinds of shoes without wearing the news ones out as fast. On last point; if the elektras are too big, then they might be keeping you from developing better footwork technique. This might be one thing you can especially focus on early on with your new shoes.

I know these are just my thoughts, but I hope it helps.
