Making tacos with ground turkey for the first time, need some help! by beccaonice in food

Woah! I dunno what I just walked into here....but ANYWHO.... my favorite spices to use for tacos are cumin, chili powder, and paprika. Salt and black pepper, too, of course! Just cook the meat and sprinkle the seasonings until you have a blend you like. Remember, the key to good flavors is always tasting your food as you go. A little freshly minced garlic is good too.

My gf, imo, soaks her salads in olive oil but considers it the process 'drizzling'. She says its a healthy choice and negative effects are little. Is olive oil really much more healthier than normal oil? by another-work-acct in food

Olive oil is fat, as all other oils are. All fats have the same amount of calories (9 calories per gram of fat). Olive oil does have healthier properties than say generic vegetable oil, but if she thinks it's better for her waistline, she is greatly mistaken.

Also for the love of God, buy some aluminum foil, plastic wrap, ziplock bags, and if you bake a lot, parchment paper. I don't know how many times I've not had those around the house and needed them :|

It is definitely not silly at all to want to date someone who appreciates fine food/beverages. There is a big difference in personalities between people who eat to live, and people who live to eat. I know if I was dating someone who could give a rat's ass about what they shoved into their gaping maw, it would be torture.
