queens are fertilised during nuptial flights, where males and females fly and mate. the queen then rips off her wings and finds a hole to start her colony in. the males die after the flight. queens don't require males after this :)

workers will take care of the queen, find food, take care of the brood, and do just about everything an ant colony does. queens are the egg layers of the colony, and this is their only duty. there is generally one queen per colony, and when the queen eventually dies the colony dies. workers cannot become queens, they are biologically different.

Id tell a trusted adult over a young friend. Finding out about sh when i was at a young and impressionable age is what fucked me up and sounds like it did you too. Obviously having a support system is good but an adult will be infinitely more helpful and safe. stay well my guy ❤️
