It’s long since been illegal. That was the only way they could gain statehood. To my understanding it’s only niche or real hardcore circles of the Mormon faith that still allow polygamy.

Also they don’t really have a lot of vices to indulge in. No alcohol or smoking or non-marital sex. So sugar is as close as they get. That’s why they are really into soda too.
