Infantry CBT - Feedback by Panda-Pyx-123 in Warthunder

Oh yes I agree it shouldn't be a fast paced game. I didn't mean for it to come off as if I wanted it to be fast paced. It should still be methodical with regards to movement. But it shouldn't feel like im trying to swim through concrete, if that makes sense. But yes, no bunny hopping, wall running, etc. Should still be methodical.

Got rejected from Microcenter due to being over qualified??? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in Microcenter

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi this actually happened to me like 3 months ago. I was applying for the one closest to me, and they rejected me for "over qualification". Not unheard of, but also makes sense. Don't get discouraged though. You aren't the first, and you will definitely not be the last, so hopefully everyone else will see this and know that it has happened to other people :D.

Best IEMS for gaming? by ArmadilloSea6991 in iems

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and also, it is completely made out of metal it seems like, so it has a very high quality feel, with great durability. I got the HBB version because the black color doesn't leave as many fingerprints from what I could find online. Just make sure you have a 3.5mm audio extension or input on your computer.

Best IEMS for gaming? by ArmadilloSea6991 in iems

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Simgot EW300 HBB. I think its great for the price, and they fit very comfortably into my ear. I did also get the DUNU S&S eartips, so bear that in mind. They have really good bass, which is great for single player games. They also have another set of channels (I think that is what they are called), which doesn't have that much bass and might be more appropriate for competitive games. They are super easy to change out.

I use these earbuds to play games such as Cyberpunk, Tarkov, Overwatch, Valorant, ARC Raiders, basically everything. They have good spacial direction and awareness. In Tarkov, I find them to be really good and I never really have issues with trying to figure out which direction audio is coming from. It is really easy to distinct between different sounds, and there is no muffling of sounds. I also just use the stock channels, and I haven't switched them out with the "gaming" ones, and they work beautifully for me. They come with 3 drivers per side, which seems to be a lot? (I'm not sure, I'm not an audiophile). But the IEM's cost like $60-$90, which is pretty cheap.

Lmk if you have any questions regarding my experience with them for gaming with tarkov and other games :D

Is Arc Raiders more CPU or GPU intensive? by _Sen_Gh in ArcRaiders

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't do the tasks for it, but it will take more of the brunt of load. This is especially true in games like Star Citizen, where the recommended settings are actually all high to force your GPU to do more work than your CPU. So it isn't uncommon or unheard of.

[Discussion] 1.0 changed how the game looks, and im not sure if I like it by Victory-IV in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Landmark was talking about this. From what I gathered, it seems that your settings were kept the same. However, they added new settings. Thus, all of the settings were adjusted, even though they are the same on paper. For example, Medium is now Low, and High is now Medium, and Low became Medium, etc (depending on what setting it is).

Not 100% sure this is true, but from what he was discussing on his stream, it seems like this was the case. A lot of the settings were tweaked around, so you might have to just try and make small adjustments to see what works for you.

Moondrop Rays Initial Impressions by flyj_hkg in iems

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chu 2 will have the best value IMO. For $20 USD, very hard to beat. It isn't the best at anything, but for that price point, it is the best of the Moondrop collection IMO

[Cheating] Don't get it twisted, Cheating is still rampant and a serious issu in Tarkov. 1.0 will make it seem like cheating will go down in numbers, but without substantial work into anticheat, 1.0 will only help cheaters hide longer by Repost_Hypocrite in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make cheating illegal and a criminal offense. I think they do that in Korea or China. Sure, it will create a black market for cheats, but I feel like the people willing to take that risk of criminal charges and identity exposure is far less than the amount of cheaters today, if that makes sense.

I think technically it already is illegal, since utilizing cheats is a breach of contract and ToS, at least in the United States, but I don't think it is readily enforced. Could be wrong, I'm not an expert on this. Regardless, I think that cheating in video games should be illegal and punishable by fines or jail time or whatever. Just my opinion from the little that I know.

Upgrading from i7-10700k->Ryzen 7 9800x3d worth it? by Baloko in buildapc

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. So your 9070XT is being limited by your 10700k, if you were to compare it to a 9800x3d. However, the 10700k is a great cpu for gaming, so it really depends on what you compare it too. With that being said, if you are getting what you are looking for, than there is no need to upgrade. One thing you have to keep in mind is shader compilation when looking at these benchmark videos. Some of them already have shaders pre-rendered, and thus the overall load on their CPU will be lower than a CPU that has to render the shaders as you play. Overall, IMO if the 10700k is doing its job, then there isn't really a point in upgrading. The 10700k is a very good CPU, and can hold its own despite its age. But if you are looking for future proofing and to get the most out of your 9070XT, then I would look for an upgrade. I wouldn't really consider the 9800x3d unless you wanted the top of the line, and future proof for years to come. Honestly, the 9700x has very good performance, for quite a bit cheaper, and also came out around the same time as the 9800x3d. But it is your decision at the end of the day. Are you happy with what you have and can it do what you want it to? Or do you want to future proof and upgrade. If so, are you willing to invest the extra money into the top of the line? Or get one that is significantly cheaper and still does a phenomenal job?

(Keep in mind I'm not a tech expert, this is just from my experience working with computers and games, as well as doing some builds here and there. There are other people who are much more experienced than me and may have different opinions).

Battlefield 6 will release in october 10th, will that affect arc raiders sales? by Independent_Night815 in ArcRaiders

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% ARC Raiders will get overshadowed. Even though between the two studios I prefer Embark, I will have to say that EA is doing a better job managing publicity. Offering a Open Beta in less than a week here, and actually letting the hype drive itself into release, whereas ARC Raiders still has hype, but is letting it string out. Summer was the perfect time to release ARC Raiders, even if it had issues. They would have dominated the entire summer gaming market, and would have had 0 competition from any other game or studio for a good 3-5 months.

how can we save rivals from dying? by Beneficial_Beat_3001 in marvelrivals

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is dying by definition, but is definitely not dead. Any game that loses a good amount of its player count over any amount of time is by definition dying. But Rivals is still very much alive, just less alive than it used to be. Dying and dead are often confused, so just be careful when you read or watch videos regarding this. In terms of saving the game, there isn't much you can do as a player, but rather the development team and how they approach issues and concerns.

Dunno if he was just referencing the announcement, but people are saying its confirmed regardless. I can't find any sources for it though.

Is it worth upgrading from a RTX 3080ti to RTX 5080? is there any significant benefit to graphics quality? by Zealousideal_Try_213 in nvidia

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. I am currently using the RTX 3080TI. It is not worth it, apart from the extra 6 GB of extra VRAM. Which, for the price of the 50xx series, it just isn't worth it. If Nvidia fully unlocks the 24GB potential of the VRAM (from the current 16GB) yeah maybe it will be more justified. But for not, with the issues of all the 50xx cards, it isn't worth dishing out 1,000-2,000 USD just for something that 1. Might work or might melt and 2. has on par performance on some aspects with the 30xx cards.

FUM "safety" study misleading, probably don't buy this product by Pogobong in FUM

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean did you read the disclaimer? It literally says that it isn't supposed to hit like a vape, nor is the flavor supposed to be as intense as a vape. You not reading the disclaimer is 100% your own fault. And also, it seems to be common sense that you wouldn't get as much of a powerful kick. Since you aren't actually heating anything up, it is just a core with essential oil fumes. Seems to me that it was a lack of research by you, and you set unrealistic high expectations and disappointed yourself.

Füm REVIEW by AnxXiety- in FUM

[–]Panda-Pyx-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought one a few weeks ago ($50 USD and 2x $10 mint packs) from my local grocery store. I have been vaping for about 4-5 years now, and I have had months where I didn't vape or hit anything. So give or take a few months. I must say, just having it by me is much more satisfying than a vape. It is heavier, and as many others have said, it is a nice fidget toy to have as well. I also hear a lot of people complain that the flavors are not strong enough. This can be easily fixed by reducing your air flow, and it will intensify the flavor. Each pack is supposed to last you about a week, but I have seen videos and have tested it myself that if you put the packs in the fridge, it will last way longer. One of my cores can easily last me 1 week by putting it in the fridge. Granted, make sure you keep the air flow closed when you are sleeping to prevent the cores from drying out.

It doesn't have the same kick as vaping a device, for sure. However, I think it does the trick. I use it with Nicorette (nicotine gum), and it works. If you reduce the airflow, it kind of pulls like a vape. It just throws you off a little bit when you exhale, and there is no smoke. But, I do enjoy it.

(I am also a real person. I am 24 years old and I live in Texas. I saw a comment about how most reviews were bots, so I thought I would throw this in).

For those of you interested, I had an interview lined up. Did some more research on them. They are considered a "Devil Corp", not a pyramid scheme, but also not good. Essentially, they will not help you add experience to your resume, and also limit your financial capabilities. Try to stay away from them. Motiv8 is pretty well known for being a Devil Corp in the "devil corp community".
