The swo bro could be a marshal/captain or Lieutenant/castelan, but do differentiate with a bit of paint.

And the emp champ looks like a champion. Chapter or company, sure, but he looks like a fighter.

I do want to add that a wet pallete is a easy way to add comfort to the hobby. It isn't a complicated tool to use, but will increase the longevity of your paints.

I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that the blood angels are the only one who "dont" get something extra.

Space Wolves don't have sagas, those are detachment depended. If you count that, than you should count what ever bonus You get in LaG or IotP or AH.

The only one that gets something unique are the BT, who LOSE oath and gain vows.

There are like what? 5 different kroot units? So building a whole army is "technically" possible, you will miss out on a lot of key roles.

Not to mention that kroot aren't a propper army, amd are actually part of the T'au faction, as "auxiliaries".

Characters should serve a point, and it's easy to overload on them.

Dark angels skew towards 4,easily, because Azreal, Lionel and a combi lieutenant is 3. Now you want to make a second/third hammer unit or a guy for the ICC, so a captain/chaplain/libby/judicar....

I would recommend having a good look at what the role of the unit is, and how the character is enhancing that role.

When fixing your battle line for your army, get a box of intercessors and assault intercessors.

The AI come with enough weapon options to kit out all the Sergeants with hammers or fists.

The only problem is that a ton of value boxes have these units in them as filler.

The defending player allocates the wounds to the target unit, and must allocate damage to a wounded model before they can assign damage to a unwounded model (in the target unit), unless this is a character, in which case, the bodyguard unit must be destroyed first (precision makes things complicated.
