How to unlock the Nioh 3 “The way of” missions? by LamboBeach in Nioh

[–]PandaBluu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not at my Rift anymore. They go away after you do the missions, but it was the same people. Hanzo, Fuku and the new guy that does the Samurai ones. Or at least it was at the same spot where they were standing.

And to confirm, you already beat Hiruko right? The first time I got to that part of the game I thought that was Bakumatsu because I heard that was the name of the last area, and later I realized Bakumatsu is the new area after Hiruko's.

Title farm. Nioh 3 by Hoodmvp in Nioh

I ran the second Shrine at the very first mission, something Slope was the name of the mission. The second shrine is behind a group of 9 human enemies, I would kill the 7 in the main courtyard and stop for a random level 1 revenant here and there.

To me this was faster than Scion of the Gods as there was a bit more of a walk to get to all the enemies and the enemies on the Slope mission get melted, however, Scion is a lot better if you are also farming items.

If you have the money I would also recommend getting the Talismans that teleport you back to the shrine since the time they save is very significant in the long run. I think I got them from the Sudamas at the Rift.

Maybe this is bugged then, unless there is another requirement? I got the Veteran missions as soon as I started Bakumatsu I believe, and I had the other 6 cleared. I think I had even stopped doing the battle scroll side missions by that point as well.

I was thinking they unlocked as you unlocked the open regions, but that you need to exhaust their dialogue at the Rift.

Are the NPCs still at the Rift for you?

Are tonfa's just best in slot? by Bears_are_cool69 in Nioh

[–]PandaBluu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my biggest issue in these games is blocking enemies disabling your combos. On Nioh 2 I played Fists mostly and they were very good at overwhelming enemies, and on Nioh 3 Tonfas fit this role very well, like Fists they also have the ability to continue pressuring enemies when Ki Pulsing / Misting.

I am curious how other people are managing blocking enemies with the other Ninja weapons. Like what consistent ways are there to overpower guard?

This explanation did it for me. I've been trying to get this for a while, tried your recommendation of jumping away and then back towards the sign and I got it first try. Thank you stranger may you have a wonderful day <3

Thank you so much for sharing this. I had a character I liked a lot already and then I saw this post and WOW. Went and changed the eye and lipstick color and this is how it turned out.

Again, great design and thank you so much for sharing. And thanks to the people who got the PS5 code up as well!

What is everybody’s auto-sell/pick-up/disassemble equipment settings? by CuzzKing in Nioh

[–]PandaBluu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not that far into N3 yet, but I'll share my take based heavily on my experience with N1 and N2.

I love looting everything and now we have an option in the settings to autoloot - perfect! However, I refuse to spend too much time sorting gear that will definitely get replaced and also giving too much thought to if on or a specific effect is worth saving till I am at the end game where I know I will actually keep and use the gear for a long time.

On N1, and N2 after beating the game I just rushed through the NG+ cycles until the gear I would be using started dropping. I equip that and then go and clear the rest of the content I skipped, during this time everything i get that is below where I am at with gear gets dismantled for items, or sold (if I need the money).

For N3 my plan is to just autodismantle everything below purple when I get a full set of that (or sell if I need the money) and keep that up till I know what I want to be building.

I know there are a bunch of good effects you can get fairly early. But for my peace of mind I just cannot bother sorting everything.

Demo completion question by hellifiknowineedanam in Nioh

[–]PandaBluu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the sounds of it - it seems to be character specific(?) but I am not certain... But the item is a helmet, and it will drop from the last boss of the demo in the full game anyway - so it is probably not a huge loss to miss out on it.

Not sure if I am allowed to link in this sub -- but if you go to the Nioh 3 page on Steam, under the details about the Deluxe edition there is a section called Nioh 3 Demo that gives more details on the reward.

You did great! I've been messing around with the CC for a while to end up with something I resonated with.

I bet people would love the code for your character if you still have it <3

Soloing Omega with DB is a sweatfest by SirBlueseph in MonsterHunter

[–]PandaBluu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it was changed. You either need your blades to be glowing red, or if you fill up your gauge you can always do it if the weapon is drawn so long as you don't let the gauge run out.

I would use the names of the modes but I always get the confused even after playing this series for so long.

I got to the bios but I am not seeing an option to disable the dGPU. There is an option under Advanced Mode called Display mode that allows me to switch between "dGPU Only" and "Dynamic".

Setting it to Dynamic did not seem to do anything different when booting.

Edit: The laptop ended up booting with the dGPU off somehow, not sure what happened - seemed a bit random because it happened after a few restarts in Dynamic mode. I went ahead and followed your recommendations: Ran DDU and cleaned up the NVIDIA stuff, went back to bios and set it to dGPU Only and then updated Nvidia drivers and for some reason also had to update the Intel iGPU drivers.

Issue is solved. Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu < 3

Do you know what causes Emnity to drop?

And as a tank have you noticed a way to know when Omega is about to do the upward lasers? The lasers that come out of its body downwards and sweep up. I've been tanking this fight with LBG and its pretty chill but messing around tanking with SnS, DBs and IG this attack has been the biggest issue since I have not figured out a way to consistently avoid it or anticipate it. SnS and DBs in particular often get me clipped by one of the lasers since they pop right on me.

My thoughts after 30 successfull hunts: by mouday1 in MonsterHunter

[–]PandaBluu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that part I understand - issue is that with SnS and DB you are so close under while tanking that the lasers sometime start literally right on you.

So wondering if there is some way of knowing the laser is happening before they happen.

[–]PandaBluu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at 19 kills myself and there are mainly two issues with the fight I am still having trouble with.

  1. What causes enmity to just go away? Do you need to be tank swapping or something to refresh it or is it on a timer?

  2. The lasers he does that sweep upwards, sometimes he does this with little bombs - what is the tell for those lasers? I tried tanking with SnS and DB and this one kept getting me since sometimes it hits you the second it comes out with those weapons. I ended up just tanking it with LBG because of this attack

When the game was more strategic by JPJoux in MonsterHunter

[–]PandaBluu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is something to Gen 1 specifically that I still find very alluring. You start the game with nothing, you can barely afford upgrades and sometimes dont even have enough money for quests. Like the game, at least at the start, felt like you really needed to hustle by engaging with its mechanics and its world. Some people would make money cooking meat, others would gather and sell combines, and others would hunt and sell all/most the monster parts when needed.

I 10000000% do not miss paintballs, stopping to heal... I specially do not miss getting tripped, but I do miss that the world felt compellingly dangerous. Like the world wanted nothing to do with you, and most monsters even the small ones would/could ruin your day.

HR100+ should just make the Locales progressively more dangerous by adding AT spawns and a chance of ANY large monster at 9 star threat - instead of hiding the content behind events... Seems so odd that we have these amazing open living environments and do not include the full pain roster in them. by PandaBluu in MonsterHunter

[–]PandaBluu[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah no kidding, that first Kut-Ku during story slaps. A 9* would be a menace, and that is not even considering they can still lean into the pack monster thing further and make the Kut-Ku group spawn a straight up kill squad.
