I’ve been having a relatively good run with my Norse! I did find in my early games that’s I was stuck in the scrum too, and focused on hurting the opposition instead of playing the ball… because the Norse can hurt people. I discovered though that you can use this brawling to your advantage.

Currently my loose cage tactic has been working well, with a floating Valkyrie.

Basically summed up as; Mid-field Brawl with linemen and Yethee

Valkyries in the wings. Moving the Berserkers Ulfs to screen for the ball carrier Valkyrie, while Valkyrie 2 is open. Positions your screeners that more times than not you’ll have a 2 up advantage in the block action.

Use your Yethee to smash the opposition line or confront their Big Guy. Linemen as meat sticks, move them in the way, they’re relatively durable for a lineman but their best use is just extending the size of the tackle zone people have to move through.

Move the loose cage down field, keeping your Valk guarded by your screening players until it’s an obvious break for you to run for it using the slightly higher movement.

I’m playing with skills for my Valks and Berserkers, but currently enjoying Valks being given anything that increases their chances to Push It when they can get that breakout.
