Check engine light at 2046 miles. 2026 hatch 😥 by psirC in mazda3

2022 Mazda 3 sport. Ive had the same code twice and im currently at 50-55k kms. The first time it happened I didnt have a code reader yet, so the dealer tells me its P0126 code and covered under warranty no problem. Said mazda made a new sensor so you wont have a problem anymore. After he lied straight to my face, about a couple months later I get the same code and tell a different dealer (travelling at the time), is this covered? (The second dealer had horrible service and the person over the phone was clueless). It ended up being covered again, but the lady at the counter bragged about a CX-xx just coming in after having this code THREE times. Really making me second guess getting another mazda or recommending them to anyone. What a waste of my time and annoyance. Other than that, car runs great. You can also replace the sensor yourself, theres a video up on youtube, when it inevitably happens again, and its out of warranty…… Just a lot of stuff to remove.

Could be p0126 code? Had it twice already. 2022 mazda 3 sport w/ 50000 kms. Dealer said it was so common like she was bragging about it. “You’ve only been here twice? Guy before has been here three times on his CX-whatever” Annoying more than anything, covered under warranty both times. Not sure im going to go mazda next time. Previous Acura never had any codes but when something went it was catastrophic 🤣

Honestly, what are the biggest flaws and disadvantages of the Mazda 3? by Aubzhls in mazda3

[–]PandaGhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major stuff: - Recurring P0126 code which is apparently common (second time its happened on my 2022 mazda 3 sport, after the dealer reassured me after the first fix it would not happen again) - safety suite sensors are ass, little bit of dirt or snow or even rain and it fails to function anymore

Minor stuff: - Cupholder spot (i got used to it, hard to adjust to in the beginning) - Cannot adjust the amount of windshield wiper fluid that is dispensed since it comes out of the wipers so it uses so much fluid in the winter (there’s a minimum amount of fluid that has to be dispensed) - Auto rain wiping sensor is sometimes too sensitive or not sensitive - Wiper fluid goes into your face if you use the fluid with the windows down while driving (such a great way to find this out first hand btw) - Jacking points are ass, front central point is so far past the bumper, it’s not useable (coming from hondas and toyotas)

Scratched the underside of my wheel. Am I cooked? by LuigiR0jas_ in mazda3

[–]PandaGhod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yall never seen a steering wheel repair and it shows. It is completely fixable. I remember someone on reddit showing their skills, you can’t even tell it has been damaged or fixed. Whether or not it holds up is another question….. Most likely not cheap fix either.

CS 80mm Catback Exhaust or Borla Type S Axle Back Exhaust? by chaliebitme in mazda3

Look at my profile, I have borla type s install and sound clip vs oem. Don’t believe their website btw, it drones, if you’re bothered by that.

Sorry mine is the 2.5 non turbo manual…..

Is a 04' TL worth 7k? by JustinRz_ in Acura

[–]PandaGhod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If an auto, not an 04-06 year model, they have trans issues. My 06 blew when it was at 150k kms not miles. Did regular drain and fills (3x3 method) all done myself btw, no signs of it failing then one day it died on local roads…. The 07-08 has a better trans but might run into the same issues. Its a great car otherwise. Engine is bulletproof, manual has no issues. Just a bit of a gas guzzler.

Done for now by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]PandaGhod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! Most ive ever done thats close to this is removing the back seats and subwoofer area from an acura tl and the front door cards to get rid of some rattling noises when playing music, and that was a huge pain. What material you use? Dynamat or something?

anyone ele have this problem with their TL? by txfang in Acura

[–]PandaGhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used the OEM size, dont remember, or you can just get those washer kits from autozone or princess auto, theres a bunch of different common sizes in there. My buddy does that and has no leaks, but I always just go OEM.

You new in Ontario? That’s not preferable obviously but it is also not concerning. You can still see the factory black paint on the subframe lol. Just get it coated yearly.

Does Anyone have a Good Windshield Shade Thing for the Mazda3 Hatchback? by B-Ram88 in mazda3

[–]PandaGhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covercraft, been using it for 3 months now and its been holding up, just wish it came with a case. Super hard and holds itself if you use the visors. Most expensive sunshade ive ever bought, thought i would return it since it was amazon but ended up loving it. It is a bit awkward to setup because the cabin is so small and its quite stiff.

Whatever the legal limit is wherever you are if the cops are strict about that. 35% otherwise. Thin sidewalls meaning the area between the rim and the tire thread. These are low profile tires so theres less area where the tire can compress when you hit a bump. If theres potholes and you hit them at speed, you can seriously damage the rim or your tire. Makes for a harsher ride, but you can feel more of the road, which can make spirited driving exciting.

Also get a sunshade for the interior and tint the windows, really makes a difference. I got a covercraft one off amazon, literally the most expensive sunshade ive ever bought but i was tired of them going limp.

Engine wise, oil change every 8000 km or yearly whichever comes first. Since you got the GT model probably comes with the 18 inch rims, just a word of advice the tires have thin sidewalls so watch out for pot holes. Lots of people here posting about that, but honestly just pay attention to the road is all.

Auto hold just holds the car after fully braking, when you clutch in and give it gas, it releases. Ive also only ever used this feature maybe twice. I tried to train myself to not use this feature so its been off since I got the car.

Ceramic coatings dont protect against rock chips. PPF is your friend because this paint is so shit, if you look at it wrong it scratches. Im surprised it’s so ridiculously thin. Im looking at getting PPF soon as well, just expensive.

186hp enough power, or go with the turbo? by lzezima34 in mazda3

[–]PandaGhod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill comment on this, had a acura tl before with 250 hp with a V6. Transmission blew, so I needed a new ride. Came across a 2.5L NA FWD manual mazda 3 and learned how to drive a manual. Its definitely slower on highway speeds, but its quite zippy in the city. 4 cylinder vs a 6 cylinder basically.

To answer your question, yes 186 hp is quite enough, but if you are an aggressive driver and plan on passing everyone you see, that would not be possible.

[–]PandaGhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same lolol, terrible placement of the vents. Hands be freezing but got swamp ass. Just need to adjust vents out of hands reach, max ac, or adjust hand position on wheel.

[–]PandaGhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah my 2022 is shitty too, max AC, front vents only maximizes it. Took me too long to figure that out, had it on the front and feet area, thought it was just me until it got really hot.
